Best part of this hotel is convenient
Best part of this hotel is convenient location and availability of food outlets around hotel. It is only about a 5min walk (at moderate pace) to the subway and main JR Ikebukuro train stations. Just above these stations are department stores and supermarkets like Tobu and Seibu, where one can shop or feast on bento sets, salads, pastries, etc. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with basic facilities.

It was by chance that i come across
It was by chance that i come across this hotel during my search. It turns up to be a pretty neat place. Room are clean, place is spacious and staffs are friendly and approachable. I did had a pleasant stay there. Only that their lobby internet service is kind of expensive compare to those i stayed near Shinjuku. I will choose to go back next time if i go to ikebukuro again but I'll make sure i bring my own laptop.

I stayed 2 night at Hotel Metropolitan
I stayed 2 night at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo in Ikebukuro. Location is very good. It just takes 2minute to JR Ikebukur station. And their price is reseanable. I got upgrade my room. It just cost 2000 JPY. If I have an another chance to visit Tokyo, I will stay again.

Not all is free, but what is, is great
Service at the hotel was great. The shower was large and accommodating with good water pressure and individual flow controls for the shower head and the bath. Bed was very comfortable and a good quality TV was provided. Internet was complimentary, and a long ethernet cable was provided as there was no wifi. Upper floors provided an excellent view of the city. However, pool/fitness center use cost around $25 per day, there were extra charges for local calls from the hotel room with no indication of the charge, and the floors appeared to never be vacuumed and quickly accumulated dust and lint. Light yukatas were provided as sleepwear, although they are meant for smaller body types and did not fit me. I did not look into getting a larger size, but it may be a possible option. The location was directly next to the main Ikebukuro station and there was a great deal of shopping in the neighboring area. In hotel restaurants were greatly overpriced and did not provide particularly exceptional food.

Great location and service
Location is perfect for both Metro (subway) and the JR train that services the metropolitan area and more long range journeys. Staff was very accomodating. NOTE: This is not a non-smoking hotel, although some parts are. Queen Superior rooms were small, but next category higher with King bed was spacious and well appointed.

No complaints, everything went well. I rented this at the last minute throuigh [your website] and everything went smoothly with this hotel. Service was excellent, and the room was pretty good as well. It was more than what I expected for making last minute reservations.

Great option for the price
Hotel Metropolitan is a great choice for budget minded travelers. Located in Ikebukuro, it is very close to the Ikebukuro subway station and lots of dining and shopping options. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Ovest on the 25th floor is worth visiting for a drink and a sprawling Tokyo view. The guest room was very small and frills free, but it was clean and up to date.
