Try nishi shinjuku station for the maranuchi line instead of walking all the way to the main shinjuku station. Buy a subway day or 2-day pass from the concierge.

Use the conceirage service and buy a metro ticket for the day for 600 yen. Saves a ton of time dealing with buying tickets at each station and saves you money. Just be sure to use the correct lines.

Good hotel

The best thing about the hotel is the amazing breakfast buffet! What a nice way to start the day. The concierge is helpful ... and the rooms are very clean. A 15 minute walk from shinjuku station was a surprise, but there are other, closer stations nearby.

Great hotel

This is a great hotel with an excellent location that is just far enough away from the craziness that is Tokyo to be ... considered peaceful. You are very close to Shinjuku station (there is a shuttle every 20 minutes from the hotel) and the subway is under the hotel. The staff are very friendly and they help you plan your day by giving you tips, directions and places to eat. They all speak English. The breakfast is great as you can have anything from bacon and eggs to toast and cereal. Both American and Japanese styles are available. It cannot get boring as it has every breakfast option possible. We stayed in a King suite which was a huge for Japan. It was big room for an American hotel. I would definitely stay here again and it was worth the $210 a night that Orbitz offered it for.

Nice Reprieve from Shinjuku
Bullet Train Traveler Jul 30, 2009
This hotel is ideally located on the west side of Shinjuku Station, which is very quiet and peaceful (in contrast to the ... bustling east side). The breakfast spread is incredible and was included for free. The Shinjuku Station can be quite confusing due to its size and lack of helpful signage -- plan for extra time to navigate it.

Not so fancy
stephen Jul 8, 2009
I wasn't at all impressed by this hotel, The room was very basic, Not what I'd expect from Hilton, I was very upset about ... having to pay a large fee for internet by daily use, pay by hour was not an offerd option. Our stay was for 7 days, and we were excited about the included breakfast buffet, but 7 days of a very very basic buffet with few choices was a complete bore! I hate to say it but this experience has made me not appricate hilton any longer, on a good note, the staff was super friendly and helped with anything we needed but this alone will not help this hotel.

Pretty Good, but map it first!
D Jul 7, 2009
The hotel was neat and efficient, as you'd expect from a Hilton. The service was what you'd expect from both a Hilton and a ... fine hotel in Tokyo. However, there were a few things that were really kind of substandard: - The buffet had food that was plentiful, but not particularly good or inventive. - There were extra charges for the health club.(?!?) - The train station was significantly farther from the train station than was described in the profile. The distance from the stations added at least 10 minutes to any trip, and made moving bags very difficult.

Take a look at where it is. When you're there, get a shuttle bus schedule, and figure out where the pickup is. The hotel is NOT very close to Shinjuku station, especially when you have bags.

Nice hotel, OK location
Anonymous Jul 6, 2009
This is a very nice hotel at a very decent price. The only negative aspect is it's location - it's not quite walking ... distance to Shinjiku station and lacks the repertoire of bars, shops, and dining options that Shinjiku station offers. It is close to two smaller subway stations, so access out of the area is not bad - but if you wanted to eat/drink at Shinjiku, it's too close for a cab but too far to walk comfortably.

A Bit Old and Overpriced Add-Ons
Bob Jul 3, 2009
Room itself was dated but large in size with out of the way location on West side of station. Far away from any Shinjuku ... nightlife. Way over priced for all the extras such as internet (~$18/day), Bfast (~$28) and drink in the lounge ($16 and up) plus have to play for access to gym if you are not at least Hilton Gold member. . . if you get a good deal on room rate, they will make it with all the extras. . . watch out.

Just a great hotel!!

Orbitz had a great rate which was higher than what we had budgeted but we decided to take a chance and glad we did! The ... hotel was amazing, the staff went out of their way to offer assistance and make sure we were taking care of, and the location couldn't have been better. Just a great trip and we can't wait until we can go back!
