Good Time in Tokyo

I would say that the hotel, from accomdations to staff, was very professional. The rooms are smaller than in the U.S. Tokyo is not an inexpensive city but alive and vibrant at all times. The people are incredible. Americans could learn a lot from them! A good value on the hotel.

Traveller

The room is less comfy than described , the water from shower tap sometimes hot and sometimes cold . The carpet in the room looks mold and old , the whole room seems shabby , lower than 4 star. The hairdryer is full of dust. Only good thing is the lobby decoration is stylish and modern, so expecting spending all time in lobby. Staff attitude bad at receptions , when people don't speak Japanese , they pretend don't understand English.

Great Stay

Hotel is at most a 10 min. walk to Shinagawa station where you can get access to all of Tokyo on the fantastic subway system. The hotel also offers a shuttle service to the station but you have to book ahead so we walked most of the time. Hotel is big and a bit dated but spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We had booked two twin beds as that was the only room available on the web at the time but were offered a bigger room with what we thought was a double for $20 more. It turned out to be a king in a huge room overlooking a beautiful Japanese garden. In room internet cost us Y1000 (~$10 CDN)for the whole 6 days. It's free in the lobby. The toilets are futuristic and fantastic with heated seats and all the bells and whistles. Had a great stay and would highly recommend for value for money.

Pleasant Stay

My first stay in Japan and I was expecting a small room. In a pleasant surprise the room was as large as the typical American hotel room. The bathroom featured a full bath/shower and had a high tech toilet. One small complaint - the mattress was on the hard side. The grounds were spacious and well maintained. The staff was very accommodating with many English speakers (I am a beginner with Japanese). I did not try any of the restaurants or bars on site but they looked fancy and were on the expensive side. The location is right across the street from Shinagawa station which is a hub of many lines including JR lines. The surrounding area was primarily residential.

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

If vacationing in Japan invest in a JR pass it will pay for itself if you plan to visit more than one city. Shinagawa station is only a short walk from the hotel. The station has multiple JR lines which allowed me to access most parts of Tokyo and a departure point for the Shinkasen bullet trains.

Very High Quality Hotel in Tokyo

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights in late September. The service was very professional and we have no complaints. Our room was quite large by Japanese standards and we had a nice view of the Tokyo skyline. We would hope to stay at this hotel again when visiting Tokyo in the future.

Location

The hotel is located in great proximity to all rail lines including subways. The hotel shuttle bus was a great convenience operating every 15 to 20 minutes to and from Shinagawa Station. Every member of the hotel staff was very helpful, courteous, friendly and always smiling. They made the stay very comfortable.

great place to stay

This hotel was clean and quiet! the staff was the best, and really helpful. Its really close to Shinagaway station. The only downside was after a long day of sightseeing, there is a small hill to go up to the Hotel from the train station. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone!
