Perfectly fine, good location and the price was right

Enjoyed my stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Close to the subway and one of the major attractions in the area. The breakfast wasn't bad at all. The rooms were clean and comfortable - small - but for the price paid, it was fine. I would not hesitate recommending it.

Expect as much as what you are paying for.

First, I will highlight the cons of this place. The standard room's size is very small, it has a double bed, the space around the bed is just enough to walk around it, there is no closet space for more than 5 hangers. Apart from this, this hotel allows smoking in its rooms, so expect some odor coming from nearby rooms. Location is perfect, you can access train stations (Toei and Metro), main temple is walking distance and good restaurants are in the area.

Acceptable budget option

This hotel was all right, but I would not stay there again. The rooms are SUPER tiny- as in, you can barely walk around the bed, and the bathroom is about the size of the ones on airplanes. Insulation between rooms isn't great either, so you hear noise from the hallway and other rooms. The location is good as it's just a block from Asakusa subway station. Room was relatively clean. Next time I'd rather spend a little more on a nicer place, though.

Excellent Location

The hotel is in an excellent location on three subway lines and just two blocks from the main attractions in Asakusa. The hotel staff were friendly enough, but did not go out of their way to help. The room was tiny, as expected, and has not been updated since the 80's. My chief complaint was the roughness of the sheets and quality of the pillow (felt like straw and beans). Overall, you can't beat the location for the price. Also, there's self-laundry on-site for only 200 Yen total.
