Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Figure out how to navigate the underground because the hotel is between two easily accessible stops so you'll save a lot of money over cabs. the subway and local train goes everywhere in and around the city, including to the airport so you can get anywhere from this location. Plus it's easy walking around here.

Great hotel
Second time stay Jan 25th to Jan 28th 2010. Have been to other hotels in the area but came back to this hotel because it is/was well worth it. One important advise to everyone coming in on the Narita Express from the airport to the Shinjuku station stop. Follow the signs to the Southern Terrace Exit. Upon THIS exit, you have a mere 3 mins walk past the important Starbucks, and Krisy Kreme with your luggage after a long flight.

Great Location, beautiful Hotel
This was a beautiful hotel, very close to Shinjuku station. The room was spacious enough for Tokyo, and very clean. Great location if you want to stay in Shinjuku, with good restaurants, shopping and nightlife close by. There is a small convenience shop in the lobby which is good when arriving jet lagged for some drinks and snacks. There are some restaurants in the Hotel. We tried the breakfast buffet which was worth the price. The front desk staff new enought english to be helpful. Only somewhat annoying thing you is you need 2 elevators to get to you room. I would highly recommend this hotel. [...]

Wonderful location and room, great value
The location of the hotel, along with the esthetics and view, are superconvenient and fantastic. It was very easy to find thanks to fellow reviewers, only 5 minutes from the Shinjuku Station Southern Terrace Exit, and directly across the walkway from Eddie Bauer. There is indeed an El Torito in the building, but we didn't go there for obvious reasons. Tip: Narita Express train to/from Narita airport goes right to Shinjuku Station, about once an hour. It cost 3100 yen per person and takes 75 minutes. All trains were cancelled on the day that we were leaving due to Typhoon 18 (Melor), so we exchanged the tickets we had bought for cash and took the Airport Limousine Bus, which leaves from directly in front of the Keio dept store at Shinjuku station West exit. It takes a brisk 11 minutes from the hotel front door to the bus stop, and this was carrying 2 bags and wheeling a large suitcase on the busy streets. The Bus costs 3000 yen per person and took 90 minutes.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
There is an excellent, low-priced restaurant right next to the Southern Terrace Shinjuku train station exit, across the walkway from Starbucks underneath the elevated walkay to Lumine dept store near the hotel called Hiroshima Ken. We had superb okonomiyaki and oyster rice, and there were many other specialties from Hiroshima. Very nice staff and delicious food, 1,000 yen for a large set meal, no English menu or English-speakers so just point at the menu pictures. Local crowd because I think foreigners are wary of Hiroshima cuisine, surprising because there were a lot of foreigners in the area.

Great Stay in Shinjuku
Century Southern Tower is a very nice, modern hotel in a great location. The rooms are very comfortable, clean and have amazing views of Tokyo's skyline. The hotel is conveniently located near Shinjuku station, which allows for easy access to the subway and the trains. I found the dining options at the hotel to be rather limited but since there are so many restaurants in the neighborhood, this may only be an issue after hours. Overall, a good choice for a short stay in Tokyo.

Century Southern a Gem
The Century Southern is a lovely high rise hotel ideally located 3 minutes walk from Shinjuku Station. Following the advice of other travelers, we exited the station at the Southern exit and very easily found the hotel. The room was small but immaculate and the views of the park were great. The restaurants were fine, but there is no room service. All in all, a good, reasonably priced alternative for Tokyo.
