Smack In Shinjuku
The Hotel was in a very very good location, I had a little problem locating the hotel when on arrival but that is my own fault for not reading the map properly. The hotel is really smack right in Shinjuku and there are ample places to eat and drink. Just a 10 min walk down the street you would see ample shopping malls like OiOi, Isetan, Labi Electronic store. The room in my opinion is not that big but I wouldn't as we had two big cargo bags with us and we had to place one on theI sofa and the other on the floor with no space in pulling out the chair to sit on the desk to use the internet. *but I wont see that as a problem* it would be nice if they can provide water everyday instead of only on arrival. *then again no problem there as there is a Lawson just right below, which happen to be our midnight snack haunt. If you are looking for a no frill hotel just to sleep and rest, I do recommend this hotel as you will find abundance of things to see *Kabukicho is a redlight distrcit* Shop and eat, this is the place for you, but if you are looking for luxurious setting, please look else where Totally Enjoyed This Trip. I have to give my personal thanks to Akeda-san (receptionist) for helping me out with my travel arrangement . He not only gave us the Kawaguchi lake map but also check the weather without us asking. Thumbs up to you, lest not forget the whole crew at the front desk, they were also worth mentioning ! Thank you all.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Look for the East exit towards Kabukicho.. once exiting the station just head cross the road. Cross two main roads and when you see the Kabukicho main arch, move towards left and walk all the way straight till you see a Mister Donut, Turn left and after 5 min walk, Best Western will be on your right.

good but not great
Basically this hotel was good but not great. We were mislead because the "sofabed" isn't really a sofabed, it's a sofa that you can't sleep on. We also asked for an extra blanket and they didn't have any... which i thought was absurd. I would take the Prince Hotel over this one ANYDAY.

Comfortable stay and great location
The hotel is at a great location of Shinjuku shopping area. It is located within the dining and shopping areas. The room is very clean and the space is adequete. Only problem we had is that not many people knows the location of this hotel probably because it is relatively new. People at hard time to point it out even when you showed the hotel address. But once you got there, everything become easy.

Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights
Me and my boyfriend stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were impressed with most things about this hotel. Nice and quiet, in a very good location close to everything and the rooms were comfortable. Things I think need improving - breakfast needs a bit more of a western touch and the pillows were very hard. Overall I would reccommend this place.

Location is good, close to JR
Location is good, close to JR and convenience to travel/shopping everywhere. The only concern is, if you want to take bus limousine to airport, it will take 15-20 mins from hotel to bus stop, it’ll be a big problem if you have lots of luggage. The hotel is very new and clean, I love this hotel and will stay there again.

Great Location
Me and my wife stayed at the Best Western Shinjuku Astina Hotel for 3 nights. It's located in a great location where everything you need is within walking distance. If you have a short stay in Tokyo and wish to visit Ginza, Roppongi, Harajuku, Yoyogi Park and Shinjuku within 2 days, this hotel is a strategic place to live.
