During its history of over half a century as Osaka's premier hotel, the hotel has played host to innumerable guests from Japan and overseas and has kept pace with the emergence of Osaka as one of the world's most prominent commercial cities. (0808YY) The hotel is a massive 30-storey gray building. There is a large garden at the entrance of the hotel. From the outside, people will immediately notice that the hotel is separated into three parts. The hotel is located about 2 kilometres away from JR Osaka station. There is a free shuttle bus that runs between JR Osaka station and the hotel. For those people going to other destinations, Fukushima subway station is a 5 minute walk away.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Osaka. The front desk personnel was extremely polite, as were pretty ... much everyone that worked at the hotel. When I came back to the room, it was meticulously cleaned by the staff. Although the room was relatively small, I found it to be comfortable and perfectly suited for a person on a business trip. It had a long desk and a swivel lamp for getting work done. There were numerous restaurants and shops on the lobby level as well as the lower basement level. This hotel was clearly one of the better ones in the area.
