Hotel New Otani Osaka is situated along a scenic riverside setting in Osaka Business Park, embracing its most natural and beautiful surroundings in Osaka. Good deal
We stayed here after staying at the Conrad Tokyo, which is truly a 5 star hotel. This is a basic 4 star hotel max. Room was very basic but clean and comfortable. The location is not that great. Close to Osaka castle but need to take subway or JR to other main attractions. Subway and JR were nearby, but nothing really within walking distance. So overall, no problems and ok room at a reasonable price. Don't expect luxury.

The view of the Osaka Castle from our room was spectacular! The arrangements for travel was taken care of efficiently and at the lowest possible cost. So much can be seen by walking.

How to feel really pampered
We were in Osaka for a family wedding, but also to do some site-seeing. The hotel is very close to the train station and provided us with ease of travel. The staff at the hotel were extremely professional and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make our stay memorable. The restaurant was convenient and reasonably priced, as were the shops within the hotel complex.

Across the street were numerous dining establishments with varying price ranges - from McDonald's and Starbucks to traditional Japanese cuisine. An ATM was also across the road in the post office.

New Otani Hotel in Osaka
The New Otani is obviously a 4-Star hotel; it is large and spacious with all the modern amenities. The food at the various restaurants was superb, especially their Tenpanyaki with Kobe beef & lobster, as well as the smaller restaurant called Mikan with great service and food.

Serene and classy
Inspirational view of the castle and park! We biked early in the morning around the castle and were absolutely awed by the size of the moat and surrounding walls. This has to be the best possible location in Osaka.

A castle next to a castle.
I really loved it here. It's such a beautiful hotel. It was like I was staying in a castle...with my window looking out to Osaka Castle. Of course, if you're staying on the other side, you don't have that luxury. It's right next to two subway stations, which makes it really convenient. Most of the staff were fluent in English. All were very respectful and helpful. I didn't care too much about paying for the fitness center and pool, since I don't use those anyways. I did however wish the internet was free. It made it very inconvenient to not be able to map out all my plans accurately. The food was pricey, but that's what I expected staying in a five-star hotel. I liked the choice of Western and Japanese. This will be my hotel of choice for all my stays in Osaka.

What did you do while you were there? sightseeing Was there something missing that would have made your stay more enjoyable? It's very cheap price, so we couldn't see Osaka Castle in our room. How did this compare to previous trips you have taken? this hotel is really bigger than other hotel in Osaka.

ドリンクサービスが付いているとのことでしたが 口頭での案内のみで具体的な説明がなく（場所とかいつ利用できるのか等） 結局２日間とも家族全員利用せず、何か損をした気持ちでした。 せっかくのサービスでしたらもっと積極的におすすめして欲しかった。残念
