Good in Nagoya
The location of the B Hotel was great- close to so much going on in Nagoya. Staff was friendly, breakfast was very good and room was cozy. It was not as big as standard hotel rooms typically are, but beds were a bit softer than Japanese hotel beds tend to be, as were the pillows. The bathroom, however, was extremely small- akin to being in an RV or on board a cruise ship. But everything was clean and more than adequate. I would stay here again!

A small hotel with adequate rooms
A small hotel with adequate rooms but one with an excellent and obliging staff. Very convenient to rail and bus transport. All day store next door. Excellent internet facilities with free, good quality coffee available. Well priced varied and enjoyable breakfast. Definite revisit if we are back in Nagoya.

Good value, possibly awkward
The breakfast was varied and of good quality. The only awkwardness was that the hotel only gave us one key for a twin room. The other odd thing to me was that the bed only had a blanket, rather than a sheet, but that's a matter of personal preference.

Time-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The building to the east labeled with four japanese characters followed by the word TOWN is Chunichi-BuildingTown, which is basically a mall. This is useful, since there is a 7-11 in the basement with an international ATM. In addition, two blocks south of that building's east face is a McDonald's and another 7-11 with an ATM.

Easy to find, very close to the subway, takes two stops from the JR station cost 200Yen. Lawson Convenience store in the building, post office one block up.Easy 5-10 min walk to Nagoya TV tower for a great view of Nagoya. The people on the desk were efficient, friendly and patient with our limited Japanese. You have to book and pay for the washing machine, given lengthy written instructions but we still had problems with the powder, pull the drawer firmly to put the powder in.We had a superior room and it was on par with an Australian hotel. Very clean, room serviced really well.Had one suitcase stand.Bathroom typical capsule style but adequate. We thought it very good value for money and would recommend it .In fact we have booked ourselves into another the b hotel in Kobe because of our experience.

The hotel was located one stop
The hotel was located one stop on the metro from Nagoya's station. It is in the heart of shopping areas. We had a room with twin beds and it was quite spacious. The rooms were very clean and quite modern. The best thing was that the hotel had free drip filter coffee in the foyer - also free internet. It is the 'business' Nagoya hotel so maybe this is why the coffee was there! We would highly recommend this hotel.

The b Nagoya - great deal
I think this was an incredible deal for the price. Located right in the shopping district and only two train stations away from Nagoya station. No frills but very clean with friendly staff. I truly thought it was too good to be true but what you see on their website is exactly what you get. The only negative is that the walls are thin so if you are a light sleeper, you may have issues if you have a really noisy neighbor. Despite this, I recommend it and will definitely stay here again.

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Matsuzakaya department store, one block up...basement floor (B1) is a great place to go for Japanese food/dessert gift items.
