This is a marvellous hotel witth excellent facilities and service. The staff are exceptional.There are several restaurants where an Australian can afford to eat. They also have very good promtions. The free broadband internet in the room is of great help.It is almost on top of a major underground station and has buses at the door.The rooms are very well appointed and spacious.

Back on the road again
Hotel not up to its reputation
First, my room was extremely small. But they agreed to move me to a reasonable size room without further charges. The main surprising disappointment was that the hotel charges for the use of it's swimming pool and health club. I have never stayed at a hotel that charges guests for the use of their pool. Plus, the per use charge was exorbitant. A bad policy. Finally, basic services such as evening housekeeping and turn-down service were missing, and basic bath amenities such as body moisturizing were also absent. All this meant that the hotel did not live up to its fine reputation.

Destined for a return visit...
From start to finish, this was a great hotel experience. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the room spacious and well appointed, the location perfect - very centrally located...and the price was remarkably low. Of course, it was not high season in Kyoto when we stayed there so I'm not sure what prices might be during the late spring, summer and fall months, but we enjoyed an incredible value. I look forward to a return visit.

In Hotel
Don't bother with the buffet breakfast on the top floor. It's expensive. And although the view is wonderful, it is no better than the view we enjoyed from our room. Have breakfast downstairs instead and save a few thousand Yen.

Excellent hotel, très moderne
Excellent hotel, très moderne dont les étages élevés offrent une très belle vue sur la rivière, les montagnes ou la ville. Excellente situation (centre, métro, bus). Quelques bémols : - l'accès au fitness club et à la piscine est payant, il faut réserver (la capacité est sans doute très insuffisante au vu de la taille de l'hôtel) et c'est cher ... - notre arrivée tardive nous a valu un accueil relativement peu aimable et une fin de non recevoir à notre demande d'hébergement dans un étage (plus) élevé et dans une chambre avec grand lit. Heureusement, le service "concierge" (renseignements, réservation avion ...) auquel nous avons fait appel à plusieurs reprises plusieurs fois a été de premier plan. - le petit déjeuner est cher (nous n'avons pas testé).
