Luxury hotel blends traditional elements, modern design

We loved it. The hotel is beautiful, our room was perfect (and overlooked a temple). The only negative is that it is a little out of the way (you have to take a bus from Kyoto station or walk for 20 minutes).

HOTEL REVIEW
ALMOST LIKE A VERY NICE ZEN LIKE BOUTIQUE HOTEL IN A NICE AND QUIET LOCATION. VERY CLEAN ROOM. JUST A BIT SMALL BY WESTERN STANDARD HERE. WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN.

Excellent hotel for the discounted
Excellent hotel for the discounted price we paid. Real coffee. My only criticism is that the artistic design of the bathroom means that light comes through into the bedroom.

Relaxing in a great location
We were pleasantly surprised at the peaceful feeling and yet in the heart of the city location at this hotel. Very convenient to all attractions and subway, just a short taxi ride to the main train station. This hotel was very nice, and probably has a few secrets most were not aware of. Staff was pleasant and helpful the only downside was a hard bed. The rooms were nice and clean, and the overall feel of the hotel is very nice. This hotel is a perfect jumping off point, but you may also want to enjoy some of the hotel offerings! The bar lounge on the lower level is very interesting in design and will serve food from any of the restaurants. Definitely recommended!

Sightseeing tip:
Short drive from hotel
Every attraction in Kyoto is a short cab ride, we suggest planning your sightseeing with the concierge and just taking a taxi to the destinations. The taxi drivers know what to do and the fees are relatively low. Saves time and allows you to customize the sightseeing without a tour.

I stayed for 3 nights at Hyatt
I stayed for 3 nights at Hyatt Regency Kyoto. The room felt luxurious, making it a pleasure to come back after a busy day's sightseeing. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and very efficient to respond to requests. The room was immaculate, and cleaned daily. The hotel is close to a couple of temples, approx 10 minute walk to the JR Kyoto station. There is a small supermarket nearby. I had a lovely stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

One of the best hotels we stayed
One of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip to Japan. Beautiful room, convenient to temples and just lovely.
