Relax at massage-focused hotel near Imperial Palace
One of the newer properties in central Kyoto, the Hotel MyStays Kyoto-Shijo offers guests spacious accommodations and top-notch service in addition to a great location near many of the attractions found in the city. We were going to Japan for the first time. Found the staff to be very helpful, lots of information. The reception is on the second floor, it is very welcoming. The room was spacious(double bed). Comfortable. We could buy our bus pass at the hotel itself. The location of the hotel is a bit far from JR Kyoto Station, and it is not know well to the taxi drivers. If anyone is going here for the first time, it will be good to get a printed Japanese translation of the address to give it to the taxi. Place is well connected by buses, and there is subway station at walking distance.

Good Hotel Find in Kyoto
Large clean and very comfortable rooms. Friendly counter staff. Location a bit off beaten path so extra walking but made up for by comfort and value of this relatively new Kyoto hotel. Would definitely recommend.

Use taxis. Just a bit more expensive than subway when traveling with 2 or more people for short distances.

This is not a typical Western Hotel...lobby on 2nd floor, friendly staff, small zen gardens on every floor, very adequate rooms, internet and the price was super...

The best food is off the main drag...have no fear of the alleyways...be prepared to sit on the floor, sans shoes of course...multiple courses of just about anything you could ever want to eat. Breakfast...small Pastry/Coffee shops are open at 7 am...yummy!

Very pleasant stay!
Check in was smooth and fast. We got a corner room, not facing the street so it was very quiet. Location is great, as a bus stop is right in front of the Hotel. Room was not the biggest, but accomodates two people without hassles.

Clean, comfortable hotel with
Clean, comfortable hotel with easy access to most major sight. We got a room on the toop floor, great view. Room was pretty small, but we just stayed one night with small luggage so no problem.

This is a new hotel, very chic
This is a new hotel, very chic and charming. The rooms are relatively spacious (for Japan) and very comfortable and modern. The staff are very helpful and speak passable English. The hotel is in downtown Kyoto, right on the bus line to Gion and other sights, and a two block walk to the Metro.

Very nice and modern hotel. We
Very nice and modern hotel. We had a twin room, which was quite big for Japanese rooms standard. It was furnished in a very modern way. Very nice modern bathroom, LCD TV, nice furniture and comfortable beds. Staff on the reception is very helpful. Some had limited knowledge of English but always did their best to help us. We were very happy that chose this hotel.

This is a new hotel and frequented by both locals and overseas tourists and business guests. Quite close to Shijo Karasuma station and bus stop only a few meters away.

部屋の照明、家具の配置（ベッド、椅子、テーブル）にもう少し工夫があってもいいような気がします。全体として暗いです。バスルームの換気扇のスイッチに強、弱のあるのは大変いいと思います。それからホテルの住所ですが、ホテルは四条通りに面した分かりやすいところに位置していますが、「京都市下京区四条通油小路東入ル傘鉾町52」という住所をみると混乱してしまします。なんとか分かりやすい大きな地図をつけてほしいです。タクシーの運転手がこの場所を直ぐにみつけることができませんでしたので。

Ottimo Hotel in posizione centrale.
Ottimo Hotel in posizione centrale. Ci sono molti mezzi nei pressi dell'hotel per andare in ogni zona della città. Appena usciti sulla strada principale ci sono una notevole quantità di ristoranti di vario genere. Prezzo nella norma e camere non troppo piccole rispetto agli standard giapponesi. Consigliato!
