Location

About 15 minutes from the Ark Hotel Kyoto is the headquarters of the Toei motion picture corporation, one of the leading producers of Japanese movies. As part of their empire, Toei offers a studio tour for guests interested in learning more about the history of Japanese film. A film set and theme park in one, Toei Movie Land is a collection of traditional Japanese buildings that are used as the setting for historical movies and television dramas.
