The hotel was super convenient as far as location goes. It's definitely a business class hotel - not even close to luxurious and the facilities are feeling a bit dated/old, but the rooms are clean and they have free Wi-Fi! The view is nice if
you get a room overlooking the main avenue and they serve a pretty nice complimentary Japanese-style breakfast as well. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable - 6000 yen at the end of November.
Convenient in that it's 2 stops from the airport by subway, right across the street from the hotel and plenty of shopping and food in the mall underneath the station as is typical of the larger Japanese stations.
FYI - There's a Starbucks right next door to the hotel as well which is nice. Being from Seattle and having lived in Japan, I find the coffee they make in Starbucks Japan tastier than the stuff they make in the US, I think because they must use whole milk.
I stayed here one night before catching a flight out the next morning. The room was small but clean and comfortable enough. The price was excellent, so if you're looking for a cheap place to stay that is clean and convenient, this is the place.
The hotel is very conveniently located across the street from Hakata Station in the center of Fukuoka. The staff was amiable, helpful, and (much appreciated for a foreigner who travels frequently in Japan) not condescending.
The breakfast was
superb and the overall atmosphere of the lobby and general spaces quite pleasant.
My only complaint would be that my room iself had a very run-down feel. Though clean enough, it certainly was not clean by the standards of most Japanese hotels. And such objects as the furniture, the TV, and the nightstand were all remnants from a time well before I was born. It just seemed odd in the center of the brilliant city. But perhaps I am just being fussy.
Overall, considering the location, it is a fine option for a night's stay while traveling through.
