Unbelievable
The hotel was beautiful but the cleanliness of the rooms were not good. Housekeepers did a horrible job at cleaning. Made up beds with the same sheet I sleep in the night before. Took towels and never replaced the amount they took. Never provided soap even though it was requested. Rooms were not swept properly.

Oh the problems
We were a group of 25 ppl for a wedding and it seemed like everyone one with a room had a problem and was changing rooms. A/C didn't work, smelled like mold, didn't get an ocean view when paid for the upgrade of one. Heck out bathroom door didn't shut and left a 12in opening. Some with broken tvs, no alarm clocks, no fridge in all rooms. NO room service for a couple the first 3 days. One complaint after another. Some large, some small. With the property, wifi is only available (when purchased) in the hotel lobby and hotel is 90mins-2hr ride from the airport. Huge downfall. I def wouldn't stay there again

Room service required
Upon Arriving to our room we found the towels were missing and toiletries. Also the door handle to the washroom was almost falling off. They never fixed it the whole time we were there. Also I had to call multiple times to get our crib in the room...we have stayed here quite a few times and this is always the case. We stay here because of the pools and the natural beach and the cost of coase other items need improvement.

Didn't meet our Expectations!
This was my family and I third time in Jamaica but first time at Jamaica Grande. There are pros and cons to this resort. If you are looking for a location where you can walk out the resort and mingle with the locals then this is your spot. The hotel was very big but my wife was not impressed with carpets in hallway to our rooms which smelled very moldy or lack of view from our narrow blacony. Ice cream machine offered one flavour and always seemed to be not in sevice at intervals throughout the day.We also noticed that the same fish was served everyaday stewed,grilled.jerked. baked with mushroom sauce or hollandaise. Keep in mind you do have other options. We also noticed stray cats walking around dining area.(yucky).You have options of local Jamaican breakfast or more international. Not much of what I woould consider a beautiful beach but you get to see the cruise ships and there are plenty of options for pools. Entertainment was the most horrible we have ever come across.I would recommend La Vida reaustaurant which offered great service and food. One of my problems was my kids who had limited choices and lived on french fries since they are not meat eaters. Even the pasta they would eat plain because there was meat sauce with it. They constantly asked for pizza which they didn't have.so there menu consisted of fries and fruits most of the time. Please do your research on this resort. We made the best of it but we will not be returning.

Staff needs a hospitality course
The hotel was wonderful, food was good but the service could have been better. The front desk was less than pleasant while we tried to check in. One night my family decided to go to the Ginger Lily (one of the restaurants that require reservations at the hotel). The maitre d' George was extremely rude to us. He left us to wait for seating for over 15 minutes even though he saw us standing. When it was brought to his attention by another waiter that we were looking to be seated, he placed us near the kitchen in the back (even though the restaurant was completely empty and the back section was dark and seemed closed). When I asked to have my family moved to the front he begrudgingly responded. He threw the napkins at our laps and slammed the menus on the table. I don't know what happened with him but it is very unprofessional to take it out on the guests. I spoke with management and was told I would hear of a resolution and nothing happened. The hotel is a great place to stay but there needs to be some training in hospitality for the staff.

Excellent Vacation
I had a wonderful vacation. The only problem I had was with the lines at the front desk being so long. They should have a line for guests that are already checked in who have problems that can only be taken care of at the front desk.
