The hotel was clean and perfect, but would have preferred a room with a safe. The kitchen cupboards are falling apart. Also needs decent cooking utensils. The door needs proper locks. Apart from these everything was ok.
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short walk from hotel
Lots of shops, restaurant, street cafés everything is just around the corner.
Great place to stay when you know you want to go all about Jamaica. This isn't a resort where everything is all inclusive.. This place is when you kno u just need a place to sleep and you want to drive around and not be at a hotel 24/7. The view
is lovely just call and ask for a room on top... Very secluded and no one bothers you
This is a good option for the price (paid ~$100). It is difficult to find and requires check in/out at an office not located where the room is.
The views are great from the room's balcony and having a small kitchen is nice. We didn't cook, but
having a fridge was helpful.
The room wasn't the cleanest and definitely showed its age, and that was a common theme throughout Jamaica. Staff was friendly and helpful, though there was little interaction given the office and room separation.
We were upgraded for free from a studio to a one-bedroom that upon first impression was very nice, but upon closer inspection, was falling apart - particularly in the bathroom - the toilet, the shower head, the sink faucet. A kitchenette was
available, but very musty shelves and drawers. The mattress in the bedroom was very uncomfortable - could feel the springs through. And the staff was not knowledgeable about the hotel resources available to visitors. What I mostly liked was the location - removed from the hubbub of the downtown and hustle and bustle. Pool was great. The gardening is very lovely, too.
