Couples Tower Isle is a luxurious five-star all-inclusive Caribbean retreat for adults only. Set on pristine sands overlooking Sapphire Island, the resort has played host to the rich and famous, including Walt Disney and Errol Flynn, since the 1950s. Chef Stefan Spath serves up fresh Jamaican and Thai dishes at restaurants like the Pool Grill - open day and night - and the Eight Rivers, with its continental cuisine. Health food lovers will find fresh fruit smoothies and salads at the Veggie Bar. All-inclusive watersports include kayaking and snorkeling, and two swimming pools should keep visiting water babies happy.

Neighborhood
This resort is located on Jamaica's north coast, just east of the popular destination of Ocho Rios, overlooking the stunning Rio Nuevo Bay and close to Reggae Beach. While the area itself is very quiet, it's a short distance to some major island attractions. Walk 10 minutes to reach Prospect Plantation, and tour the great house plus the surrounding farmland. The house dates from the 1700s (although the second story was added in the 19th century), while the land still yields some of its original crop species, including coconuts, limes, and bananas. Another local treat is the Green Grotto Caves, which were commonly used by the Arawak Indians for shelter and hiding valuable possessions.
Hints and tips
Take an adults-only trip to the 'Private Island' within the hotel's perimeter.

This "au naturel" nudist beach is perfect for those who want even tan lines without being subjected to prying eyes.

Couples Tower Isle

Another great couples resort. We went to Couples Negril last year and found that we enjoyed that resort a little more. The band there and atmosphere was a little more lively. The resort was still spectacular though and the private bay is great.

Just what the doctor ordered!

Friendly, respectful staff. Beautiful ocean property, small enough to be intimate and large enough for all the ammenities. Food was great..not a large choice for buffets, but was excellent. Private Island was very relaxing and away from the crowd! Rooms were nice, clean and cool. The housekeeping staff was somewhat inconsistant, but not a big deal. For the best massage EVER, ask for [...]. The woman has magical powers!

Had a great time!

This was for our honeymoon and it turned out great! There were plenty of activities to keep you busy and the staff was always available to help in any way necessary. We are a young couple so expected more of a party, but welcomed the relaxation. The food was awesome and in variety. Th rum punch was constantly flowing! The room was perfect with a beachfront balcony and cleaned on a daily basis. I expected clear water beaches, but got cloudy, seaweed filled water which I was not very fond of. Very happy with the overall resort.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

A shopping excursion was included but it was very "touristy". Shop locally if at all possible because it will save you money and give you the true island experience.

Expensive but satisfying!

A very relaxing kid free time! Great food and drink whenever wanted. The massages were not done by trained staff. For the price and quality the massages were not good.

Couples Tower Isle

We went there for winter getaway. We are young couple there because most of the couples there were 40's and 50's. The room and amenities were great. they made great cocktails and jerk chicken. we went activities like Dunns river fall which was the best. Other activities were great also. The cons were there were ants in the room!

Nice, but EASILY destroyed by weather

The resort was great: beautiful (small) beach, amazing food available anytime, mostly attentive staff ... the big problem for us is we were there 8 days and 6 of them were destroyed by the rain. The resort can't prevent bad weather, for sure, but they COULD provide more to do during the day, and open more water sports when it's not too bad outside. We had ONE day to enjoy the island, for example, when it felt like the weather would have allowed for 3-4 days. Just don't go blindly, and get insurance so that if YOU get rained out, it won't be one of the most depressing weeks of your life, like it was for us.

Most Friendly Place I have ever been!

It was my honey moon and we just had a blast! The Service is so nice, the food was outstanding, and (if you asked for the good stuff) the drinks were great! The bathroom was a little ill planned out, everytime we showered, we flooded it, the sink, although pretty, was long and shallow so brushing you teeth was a pain as well. But the snorkling was fun, the beaches were great, the pool are prefect, the whole resort was just amazing!

The dunn's river falls is fun, $40 for a dvd (you can haggle them down to $30) but go on a rainy day, you are going to get wet, so might was well do it when you can't lay out. Also the dolphin cove is a rip off! Swiming with dolphins is great, but for $400, and $10 a picture afterwards... you can do it at sea world for 1/4 the price!

Wonderful All-inclusive!

My husband and I went to Couples Tower Isle the last week in February for an anniversary/birthday trip and we couldn't have had a better experience! The food, drinks, and staff were amazing!!! Our room was comfortable and clean and taken care of everyday. We were able to go on all of the excursions we wanted (sign up a day in advance at least). My only complaint was that the evening activities didn't start till after 10 p.m.. For a couple that gets up early to watch the sunrise and eats early there wasn't anything to really keep us out until the entertainment started. Overall it was a great experience and i would HIGHLY recommend Couples Resorts!!!!!

Relaxing In The Sun

It was a truly great All-Inclusive experience! No extra charges for premium liquors at any of the bars. Also, it's a Pepsi resort so don't expect Coke products…Jack and Pepsi is just not the same. All of the water sports were included including scuba diving and catamarans. The place was kept spotless and the staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered at a hotel/resort. Great selection of food at the buffet every day. The only drawback on dinning was the "upscale" restaurant where you had to make reservations and dress up. It lacked atmosphere just dimming the lights would have helped. The food was nice but nothing overly special. It's a great resort to just relax and have a fun time. I'd recommend it to anyone looking to do that. If you are looking for wild night life this would not be the resort for you.

Be prepared to haggle...even in "regular" stores. I purchased items marked for $60 USD at about half the price. The venders in town are sharks(nice but still sharks) and will try to persuade you to purchase their goods.
