Couples Secret Rendezvous - All Inclusive

While my wife and I were considering our options for our honemoon, we started looking at Couples resorts in Jamaica. We could not decide if we wanted to do Negril or Ocho Rios, so we selected the secret rendezvous option and got a few hundered bucks off per person for our stay. All the options looked great and we had heard only good things from people that had stayed at various Couples resorts previously. We ended up being assigend to Couples Negril. The only problem we had initially was that while coming thru customs in Montego Bay the customs officers were not very happy that we could not tell them our exact destination...we would not find out until we cleared customs and checked in at the Couples receiving area at the airport. This caused about a 10 min delay, so it was really no big deal. My adivce: just enter either Negril or Ocho Rios on your immigration forms and then you won't have to deal with this. Couples Negril was absolutely wonderful. The location on Bloody Bay is great and the food and service were first class. We had stayed at a Riu in Bloody Bay previously on our trips to Negril, and comparing that to our experience at Couples Negil is not even fair. We thought everying was fine at the Riu, but everything was so much better at Couples Negril...and we're not picky people at all. The food was fantastic. There were options for fresh seafood, fresh veggies, fresh fruits, Jamiacan options and even more american options. Like I said we were so happy with the food and we didn't realize what we were missing out on previous trips to negril. The other apsect that was so great was all the included options from watersports, catamaran cruises, various craft/cooking classes, and some included trips to area attractions. Our favorites were the catarmaran cruise to the westend caves and the snorkeling. All of these things were things we had to pay for at the other resorts we stayed at prior. The only somewhat negative experience we had was that we are used to tipping whenever we feel we've been taken care of, and I guess this is a touchy situation at the Couples Resorts. We would tip and the various workers seemed to always kind of take them secretely like someone was watching. We didn't really understand until we asked one of the workeers why they all act weird with tips. We were told that they are not supposed to take tips at all, but they do appreciate them. So we felt like a couple of a-holes for throwing out tips around the resort and not realizing this was an issue . We had no way of knowing that the resort was supposed to be tip free, and if we want to tip why should it be a big secret...kinda weird, but not a huge negative.

From check in to ckeck out the people at Couples Tower Isle were amazing. Many activities and all included in the price. Food was very good though the Bayside Restuarant was not our favourite. Was disappointed that room did not have a bar fridge but the hotel is small so all the bars and restaurants were close by.

Couples Tower Isle was amazing! My husband and I had the most amazing time in this tropical paradise, with a private beach, and even better private island where we had it all to ourselves for a special dinner! It was like a dream! The staff was extremely friendly and always helpful and definately went above and beyond! We even made some friends! We would definately reccomend this hotel to others looking for romance and a fun time! Our only real complaint would be the ride from the airport to our hotel, the man was a crazy driver, we actually feared for our lives! But we were told this was jusdt because it was night time and he wanted to get off work quickly, so maybe take a cab if it's night time, but all of the other bus drivers for tours ect during the day drove very nicely!

Couples Tower Isle was truly a great getaway. From the time you land until you depart, they are there to assist and make sure your trip to Jamaica was everything you expected. They shuttle you to and from the airport and all excursions. We went on a catamaran ride, went horseback riding,sailing etc...all included. We skipped Duns River because we have done that before. The rooms are basic but acceptable. We did have some trouble with ants in our room but one quick conversation and they moved us to a different room..their idea. The food was very good, much better than other all inclusives that we have gone to over the years. The resort has two restaurants that you must make reservations and one that is first come / first serve. Their is a buffet restaurant that is open for all three meals and it has a great view. The beach area is small but nice. This resort's beach is not connected to any other beach or resort. Beach chairs are always available. They have two pools, one with a bar and one without...both are very nice and look as if they were part of the recent upgrade. What makes Couples Resorts great is the people...the staff is always willing to do a little extra. They seem to really care. Also, the guests they cater to are very friendly...when you leave you feel like you made some new friends....Lastly, you must go to the piano bar..its a blast and if you can't sing you will fit right in. This is a vacation spot we would consider returning to.

The only thing that could have made for a better trip was less wind so we could have snorkeled and sailed more. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and generally fantastic.

Couples San Souci is a great resort! The food and service were excellent. The beach is small but absolutely beautiful. Be prepared to walk a lot of stairs.

Had so much to offer we couldn't do it all in the 5 days we were there. Beautiful beach and location, excellent service.
