Different than your typical resort

Staff were very friendly and the food was great, however the best part is the beautiful grounds the resort is located on. I loved all the trees and flowers. I loved the the way the units are spread out and offering just enough to make it comfortable. I only wish the beach was closer to main area of the resort. I was very happy that I was not staying at a multi level/many room resort with lots of people.

Awesome Resort. Poor booking :(

The hotel was awesome. It was beautiful and it is a smaller resort so you feel somewhat secluded. They overbooked us (I think to accomodate a wedding) but they moved us across the street which worked out okay. We definitely liked this hotel better. Highly recommended!

beautiful, quiet and relaxing

We woke up every morning to a delicious array of fresh fruit. Ate like kings the entire time we were there. It differs from other resorts we'd been to in that there was only 1 buffet restaurant for all 3 meals but they did have a fine dining open 4 days a week as well as a beach grill that were both delicious. The beach is across the street from the resort but I've walked farther from my room to the beach in other resorts than just the short trip across the street in this one. It's almost better cause you're settled in your quiet bungalow amongst the birds, flowers and trees and then you walk over to the sounds of the water and beach. Would definately recommend it to others. More for quiet, relaxing, bonding than raging party, crowded atmosphere. There were a few children but they were precious and didn't interfere with vacation at all. Free internet or wi-fi recommended as we didn't get cell service and intl calls from the room are about $3 a min. Went to Ricks' cafe for sunset appetizers (don't eat there cause overpriced and hotel food is free) but you can watch beautiful sunset and crazy cliff divers (can even dive yourself if you're insane)

The resort itself is amazing, the grounds are beatiful and well kept and the staff is extremely helpful. The beach is a short walk from the hotel and has a bar and grill. I would recommend this to anyone who plans on going to the Jamaica!

Beautiful place for a RELAXING vacation!

The treehouse setting is something everyone must experience. So different than the large hotel feel. At night you heard the sounds of nature not people. This is not the place for young people looking to "party" It is a beautiful, relaxing, quiet place.

Nice relaxing quiet getaway !!!

If your looking to get away from it all and don't expcect a lot deluxe accomidations, this is the place to go in Negril. The laid back easy going style of Jamaica coupled with a the great friendly and tentave staff at this location make it ideal for what I needed to get away from the daily grind. The cabin style rooms surrounded by beautiful gardens are much nicer than the concrete mega resorts with people everywhere but's that just what I prefer when I want to getaway from it all. The ocean is across the main road but it's not any further walk than from some of the rooms at larger resorts and a crossing gaurd is always there to make sure you cross safely. Nice beach area with facilites, bar and food so there's no need to go back to the resort until your ready. Bottom line, great staff / service, quiet laid back atmosphere, accomidations may not be nice enough for some people but I find them very nice. Take a look at the web site and if you like what you see, you'll love your stay at this resort.

When going to any of the shopping areas, don't be afraid to bargain with the locals and if anyone seems to get a little pushy, just say "RESPCET" and most of the time they will leave you alone. There great people just trying to make a living selling there goods.

Outstanding Resort

The staff at SATP were the most gracious, welcoming and accommodating people we have ever encountered during any previous vacation. The food was consistently good (especially the breakfast and beach grill). The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It felt like you were staying in a lush garden. The beach and water were beautiful. My wife and I had a wonderful 10 year anniversary at SATP and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, quiet and romantic vacation. We are very glad we made the decision to stay at Sunset at the Palms.
