The resort has its own restaurant and bar and is within walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants.

Ask for pain if you book here
Hotel is very dirty. The wall paint is chipped off, the floor tiles are dirty, tv does not have remote, ac does not work. Best you will have to beg for towel and even then only bath towel no othe small towel. Supervisor will say it will be done in 15mins for every problem, 15 mins never come. I paid about $100 per night when it is not worth $30.

For the price, the stay was good!
Very nice staff and always helpful. The free shuttle to drop you off at the beach is a really great idea. For the price that we paid, the stay was really good!!! The only thing that we can regret about our stay, it's the shower. There was no water pressure. And the towel were not clean. But we asked to change it and they gave us clean towels.

I hate it
We are currently stuck here for another 5 days as they will not refund us any part of our stay. Despite the fact that we have random hairs in our towels, sheets, and in our drink glasses, toilets and ac are moldy shower is slippery with algae and our room door does not close we were ok with it. Now 3 days in to our vacation the fact that the hotel is 4 miles into Negril from where it is mapped and we have to rent a cab 3 times a day to get to the part of Jamaica we thought we were going to be staying has gotten us to try to change locations and they stated we will not be refunded anything our thoughts on the place have changed.

A worthwhile experience
Went to Jamaica to explore the island. While Negril is not central, it offers alot. The hotel was quite nice...not an american resort..nor priced like one either. By Jamaican standards, this hotel was reasonably priced, clean, had A/C, hot water, with security and centrally located in Negril whether you want to go to the west end or out to the strip. The pool is lovely place to take a sunset dip before your evening activities.

Dining tip:
Short drive from hotel
While there is dining within a short walk, head out to the west end and visit Jus Natural, Sips and Bites, or Sharks for a great local dining experience.

Nice, but needs upgrades
We had a good time on this trip. The hotel could use some repairs, which the management staff assured us is scheduled for later this year. The staff were very friendly and helpful which made our stay more enjoyable. Everything is in close proximity, which is also a plus; there are different tours that are available as well if you are feeling adventurous. Overall I give this hotel ***stars.

Wouldn't wish this hotel on worst enemy
This is THE worst hotel I've ever stayed at in my life!! I wouldn't want my worst enemy to stay here. The property is trash, and looks like somethig out of a horro film. The staff was very friendly, they changed our room 3 times. Their best of the best was still the worst!! The toilets didn't flush, water pressure was God awful, towels were dirty, no ac, and the list goes on!! [...] After the first night we switched hotels to The Palymyra..best decision ever!!

wheres the maids aand towels?????
It was OK. Because it was the slow season.....short staff, pool pump broken and closed, asked for our toilet to be fixed as ran constantly, after the third time and person I gave up. they came and took towels in the am and didn't get any back till evening not good. Restaurant was also closed. We had bats living in the roof of our veranda. It was gross listening to them up there moving around and squeaking. I won't be returning there. and we had no remote for the tv which was a real pain when on vaca.

Carribbean Sunset Resort
a walk from a Burger King that was great, and a small shopping plaza. The room was nice great hot water, dvd player, balcony, and a frig for free. we didn't get any towels but we made it. Staff was antisocial but all in all it was worth the small amount we paid. Kinda away from the other hotels and the main beach but it was a decent hotel, sheets were very clean.

King of the hill
The hotel ways in the middle of Negril, about 70 meters above sealevel. It was short distanse to an ATM machine and, of course, burger king. The beach was a 300 meter walk across a brigde and the hotel itself had a nice pool without chlorine that you could use, as well as a pool table, a bar and very kind reseptionist. On the bad side it was only from the center of the hotel area and by the pool side you could really get the nice view, but still it is definitley the hotel I would go back to in Negril !

Unbeatable location for the price.
Hotel is not a 5 star but if all you need is to sleep, hot shower and rooms are air conditioned it's perfect for the price. Close to everything, shopping, dining and beach.
