Jamaicas very first AZUL Sensatori Hotel on the world famous 7 Mile Beach of Negril. Nice sexy spot

Not really gourmet as advertised but decent food. The Italian restaurant is probably the best with 'Ackee' restaurant next. Staff was great all around. That part of the 7 mile beach is heavenly. The overall design is very clean, modern, and sexy. Really good design all round. Bad things are that you have to pay for wifi in the room. They have construction going on and you hear the tools grinding away while near the lobby. Construction might be finished in 2 months. The lobby could get hot, there are no fans, only an open area that is has air to pass through.

Beautiful resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our short get-away to Azul. It was an absolutely beautiful resort. Obviously management has been listening to customers because they were in the process of correcting the complaints about the open showers. One glass wall had been installed in our room (between the shower and toilet) and I believe shower doors were being installed. Just one complaint, and I hope that management listens to this, too. There is NO PLACE to get out of the sun. There are beautiful cabanas at the beach and umbrellas at the pool, but none provide enough shade. The small umbrellas at the pool sometimes provide a shade on one chair at a time. There are a very few trees on the beach and people hover around them. The cabanas are usually available because they are directly in the sun. I enjoy relaxing at the beach or pool and reading, but I don't enjoy being in the sun ALL day. We were somewhat disappointed that snorkeling was not included, as is done at the many Sandals resorts where we have stayed. I couldn't find any details other than there was a charge for snorkeling equipment. We took our own equipment, but the charge was $30 (US# per person. It was a great trip and we saw more than ever in the past, but it went to the same place that we had been when staying at Sandals Negril in the past. The resort is still new, and the staff were delightful. Each room has a balcony #unless you get a swim up room, which did not seem private at all), and a small table with 2 chairs and a unique chair seating. Hard to explain, but enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Another plus is that the rooms seemed well insulated from sound. We didn't hear doors slamming at all hours of the morning/night. The nightlife was not much, but we were not disappointed as that is not the reason we go on vacation. We stayed in the adult section, and probably due to the time of year, only saw about 3 children there. Other than the lack of shade, I would give this resort an EXCELLENT!! unlike many other places I've been, the pictures really did look like the resort!

Needs improvements

Overall this is a great place in the future. Right now they are still fixing it up and there is a lot more to do construction wise. The problems that I see is with the food which is supposed to be gourmet, yet its average and highly boring at best. Breakfast and lunch are good, but its totally downhill for dinner. The restuarants are either not open or the food they serve is very average and incredibly small portions. This seemed to be a huge complaint from everyone at the hotel. Entertainment is spotty and the staff come out around 10 or so each morning, yet there is no announcement of activities unless you ask or they are barely attended by anyone due to lack of info from the hotel.

credit card hacking

today, 3 weeks after returning from Jamaica, we found out from our Mastercard credit card that they hacked thousands of dollars that they used for purchases on the island. Seashore Bay Hotel was the only place in Jamaica where we gave them our credit cards, the Mastercard in the first day and our Discover on the last day. Both our cards were hacked, right after the hotel had them. We used only cash on the rest of the island, so there is no one to blame but them. nice resort, but not recommended unless you they get rid of fraudsters.

BEWARE-Don't give Credit Card to Front Desk Ladies

Just returned from staying April 5th -April 13th and first thing is ** BEWARE of the ladies at check-in. They asked for my Credit card # to hold for incidentals which were none and found out today that someone charged over $3,000 on my CC while there. I did NOT USE my credit card period. I reported Fraud to my CC co and they took care of it. Renovations not mentioned before, too noisy, SLOW in the resturant, Other Staff were Great, Ravin, Jodie-Ann, Jr, Lendsworth,Robert, Simone, Judith-hse keeper, So Don't give out your CC!

Friendliest Staff

Just spent 6 nights here with my two teenage kids. We had a great time! The beach was beautiful, the food was fine, and the staff was absolutely amazing. Be sure to take a boat ride to the cliffs!

What a get away

Great staff very comfortable rooms right on the sea Food was very good with a variety of choices Hope the upcoming upgrades don,t price it out of the market The size is perfect not too large. just the right size

This is a small resort with little to do but great beach. Entertainment left much to be desired. Food was hit or miss and all food services were super slow even for the laid back Jamaican atmosphere. Two hours to eat at the Italian restaurant. Staff was very friendly and helpful, just food servers were overwhelmed and maybe there weren't enough of them.

Paradise

I traveled with my teen daughter and we had such a great time. The place it's very clean and well kept. Food was very good at the buffet, we could never get into the a la cart restaurants. They don't take reservations. The staff it's what makes the place unforgettable. So friendly and helpful Our evenings were always fun, thanks to Novelete and O'Rayan and Dj Miller. The beach it's beautiful . I highly recommend this hotel.

Vacation

excellent facilities with nice location. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Service a little slow as to be expected in jamaica. Food is lacking a little flair but you do have choices. Would return for sure.
