Best Service Ever!!!

This was my first time traveling alone and for my birthday to boot. But I really needed some down time to rest. And I couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and even though my flight landed pretty early (10:30am) by the time I arrived my room was ready. Along with a complimentary glass of champagne. And once the staff learned it was my birthday the surprise desserts and bottle of champagne and birthday song was more than I could have asked for. They each take the time to remember your name and that makes you feel pretty special. Only down side is the rocky beach. You really need water shoes to get in the water to enjoy but the pool they have is a nice alternative. Also, the price of food is a little up there but it is the Ritz so no surprise. All in all I will definitely return...this year!

Nice

Clean, very attentive staff, and good to above average food. Don't particularly love being penned into a smallish piece of land as happens at most Jamaican resorts.

Very nice place to retreat - reflect

This was a time for personal renewal - I spent most of my mornings & afternoons reading by the poolside . . . I went off campus several times for dinner -I do feel the rooms were over priced - I was somewhat dissapointed in the room - I reserved a ocean front and had to look sideway to see - of course, I received a room change . . . and it was still on the end- well the prices are too high not to have first class - the small things such as; ice buckets need to be replaced or include plastic liners - my overall experience was great! - the food was good - the morning buffets need a little more variety -

Great vacation

my trip was okay, and the hotel was nice, i was just not pleased with the way things were handled with the shuttle when we got ready to leave, and how they talked down to us like we were children. It needs to be advertised as a place for the newlyweds and for older couples, its not for young single people such as myself!

Fantastic Vacation

I had a fabulous time while at the Rose Hall Ritz Carlton. I went for the views and some rest and relaxation. I left Jamaica feeling a sense of accomplishment as the entire hotel staff made me feel welcomed in my home away from home. The service and personal attention I received was phenomenal.

Shopping tip: Short drive from hotel

The Rose Hall area is not the area for shopping unless you want to purchase high end merchandise. I ventured out to a place where the locals shop but it was one location that reminded me of a converted convenience store. It carried a variety of sundries and goods, including coffee and rum and the manager was very warm and friendly towards me. Forget about shopping here and go for the peace and tranquility that the resort offers as well as the magnificent views from atop of the golf courses.
