The Ritz-Carlton Golf and Spa Resort, Rose Hall, Jamaica

I took my fiance here for a romantic weekend; this was truly a magical experience and a fine hotel. A few things to note: 1) Service is great. Everyone calls you Mr./Mrs. Last Name and talks to you like you're royalty! And they go out of their way to do special things. For example, since it was an engagement trip for my fiance and me, the concierge overheard this and surprised us with a bottle of champagne in our room when we returned from a couples' massage. Not only is this a nice gesture, but they went out of their way to know our schedule to know when to sneak it in! 2) Fabulous amenities. A fully-appointed gym and sauna/steam room/ cold plunge locker room. Lovely. Rooms are well-appointed and clean. The hotel itself is old (25+ years?) but well renovated. 3) No real beach. if you want miles of white sand beach, go somewhere else. The property is waterfront but rocky and with a very small (thirty yard?) man made beach. This didn't bother me - it was all about relaxation and seeing the sea, etc. - but something to keep in mind. They have sailbots and free watersports to take you out to expereience the sea, though. 3) Good food. Not badly priced considering it's the Ritz. Only three restaurants on property though, so if you want variety you'll need to venture off. Again, for a weekend, this won't bother you and you'll like the quality. 4) The ultimate binary test: I would DEFINITELY go back

Excellent hotel and stay! I stayed with a full family (3 kids). Lots of activities and the pool is very kid friendly.

Hotel staff was very nice, hotel was lovely and amenities were great. The only con was that the food was really expensive, other than that, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I enjoyed myself very much. They waited on us hand and foot. Everybody was very friendly from the time we arrived till the time we departed. I would recommend to everyone. The only dislikes I had was the dinner. Thats only because alot of the menu contained fish and I dont eat it, but they made sure to accommodate me with something else of my choice. They are also kid friendly. Everyday there was something for the kids to do. I didn't bring any children but it was good to see.

The staff, the amenities, the attention the staff paid me was simply wonderful.

This hotel is a little older than some hotels that we are used to, but has a PERFECT location and a staff that was attentive to every whim. The ocean suites were big enough for the whole wedding party! Two HUGE rooms, two bathrooms, two balconies...incredible. I will stay at this hotel in Montego Bay whenever we return to Jamaica. (The ballroom was one of the most beautiful venues that I have ever seen, and the wedding planner, Marcia, was a huge help to my niece and the mother of the bride, my sister. I would highly recommend the Ritz for destination weddings.)

The facility and grounds of this resort are truly lovely and very well-maintained. The suite accomodations are particularly spacious and good for families. The food is not stateside gourmet, but it is quite good--better than it used to be. The unquestionably best part of the resort, however, is the ever helpful, ever friendly staff. I think they might say "welcome back!" to everybody because they know that once you have been there, you will return.

Great resort and value for the money. Really good food at all the restaurants. We did the Excape To Luxury Plan, which is the way to go. Only issue was that they did not have babysitting at the Ritz.

Dure my recent stay at the Ritz in MoBay, I was extremely underwhelmed. There was issue after issue with our stay. There were multiple issues with our room upon check in and when we were excorted to it. Lastly, to top it off the overall exprienence the food is sub par. This required us to leave the hotel every evening for dinner. Breakfast is the only decent meal at this hotel, but expect to pay $$$$ for it. I travel very much for business and stay in many hotels across the USA and world. This was the first time I was disappointed in a Ritz (but note not my first time in Jamaica). There is a certain standard which is expected of this chain and it was certainly not met in the Ritz down in Montego Bay.

Rooms were first class in comfort, decor and cleanliness. Staff is best in hospitality worldwide and always genuinely happy and smiling. Ritz Mo-Bay feels like home. World class chefs, best food in Caribbean, and lots of fresh coconuts. Would recommend for all to be first choice of stay in caribbean, rent a car or take hotel provided transportation and immerse in the beauty and culture of Jamaica. Very private secure and classy, excellent for families as well as clients needing privacy, security and Ritz treatment. Great beach and scenery, close to all excitement and fun of northern side of Jamaica. Great golfing at White Witch, Reside in Rose Hall and located beside Shopping, conference center, great house, Half Moon, and Palmyra. Excellent water sport. Hurry and secure your stay, Most visitors have been returning for years, The secret of the worls and ritz family. I have been visiting for over 10 years and will be back every six months.
