Royal Decameron Montego Beach - All Inclusive

This was an upgrade to a hotel we stayed at in Negril! Hotel lobby and dining room is beautiful with a great view of the water. Room amenities were pretty basic but had a great view of the resort grounds. Entertainment staff was excellent - always encouraging you to participate in afternoon beach activities and dance on stage with them during evening shows.

This is my 4th stay at Royal Decameron (Jack Tar Village for the old timers). Pretty good all inclusive hotel. Room cleanliness is great. Room was well prepared and kept very clean and fresh smelling for my entire 10 day trip. Rooms are very spacious. Color scheme of room might bother some people. My room was a soothing lavender, but spoke to another guest and their room was a disturbing orange. So just something to consider. Food was ok. In some cases, for my taste, not a lot of selection. But the fruit and salad bar was always adequate. I am not a big drinker, but remember this is a 3 star hotel so do not expect top shelf drinks. Only basic house alcohol. I think top shelf can be had at an additional price. In any case, the convenient location of the hotel, puts stores and supermarkets, just a block outside of the front gate. So that is very easy. Nightly entertainment was great. Kudos to the entertainment staff. Well planned and executed. I would definitely return to this hotel. Many many return guests due to its family like atmosphere.

The staff was really nice and they are great about making sure you have plenty of drinks! The location can't be beat and the hotel was clean. The hotel had fun music and the food quality was pretty good. You can snorkle right in front of the hotel which was really nice. Rooms need a little updating/repair but I would certainly stay here again and recommend it for the all-inclusive aspect.

Good Hotel for the value...Near everything...Older Hotel,built in the 40's(That should tell you something!)...Staff and especially Bar Tender's were an insult to the Jamaican People!!...We make our own "Good Times" anyway!!

Can not complain about anything. The hotel is very clean, the staff very freindly and helpful. The room we had was always maintained. although it was very simple and plain. But that was not a problem with us. For it was still very comfortable. The food was well prepared, but we would like to see a little more of the local dishes on the menu. The drinks were all top notch. But a little more varity would be nice. The entertainment was good although not broadway but still fun. All non motorized sports on sight were free (kayaking, snorekieing, paddleboats, windsurfing, and sailing). And if you did not know how to do these things, they were glad to help. The 2 beaches were both very nice, with plenty of loungers and chairs. Also they had hamocks in the shade. All in all we had a great time. If you needed anything you had only to ask. And as a smaller hotel it was not long before you knew everyone by name and they you. We liked it so well that we are already planning on going back.

My husband and I had an awesome time. The hotel is right on the strip with trinket shopping stores and restaturants. No need to be scared when you venture out. The locals are just trying to make a living and want you to buy their items. However, I will say to be firm if you are not buying and everything is negoiable. Do not pay the first price. They want you to negotiate so, you get a good price and buy more. The hotel staff was awesome. My husband had to see the nurse while we were there and she was good. Everyone always spoke to you and was very friendly. Had an awesome time and would definitely return.

It was great, food was perfect a lot of options to choose from. The staff and entertainment was really good i am gonna upload the entertainment that they did whenever i have time

I had a good time, not perfect, but good.The location is perfect and the staffs do their best to make you comfortable. The hotel itself could do with some upgrade.

This is our third time at this hotel the staff are friendly the place is kept clean,the entertainers were wonderful. However there was only one problem this time they must have hired a new chef because some of the meals were not cooked properly.

This is not a luxury hotel it is old and without most mod cons. However it is tropical and charming we LOVED it. Everything was clean and not crowded. Staff were wonderful - constantly cleaning painting repairing and willing to help with a smile. The whole atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed and comfortable. We never had to wait for anything, there were plenty of sunbeds in all the different locations. Food was Ok with plenty of choice so always something for everyone which included local dishes. The advertised aminities were all available with the exception of the following three items. Wi fi is not free in the lobby and not available in your room There is no free scuba lesson Not all rooms have ocean views Having said that - the hotel the best snorkeling it was better than the boat trip we took in Ochos rios and the ocean swimming area was fantastic 11ft deep with 2 lifeguaurds on duty during the day.
