The Iberostar Rose Hall Suites is a 5-star, all-inclusive, suites-only hotel named after the nearby Rose Hall Great House - a Georgian style plantation mansion allegedly home to Annie Palmer, the legendary 'white witch of Rose Hall'. Spooky tales aside, the hotel itself is a kaleidoscope of Caribbean colors, with bright lime and watermelon shades, white floor tiles, and even a hammock on your balcony so you can drift away next to those blissful Jamaican sunsets. Try everything from snorkeling to windsurfing on-site, or drop the kids off at Lucy's Club for an arts and crafts session while you head to the adults-only spa for a massage.
Key facts

Neighborhood
The Rose Hall Suites are located around the coast to the east of Montego Bay, some 20 minutes from Sangster International Airport (MBJ) and a short walk from Rose Hall Great House. Along with the glorious seafront in Montego Bay and the renowned waters at Doctor's Cave Beach, there's plenty of local lifestyle to explore - check out the Harbour Street Craft Market where you can buy handcrafted t-shirts, colorful beads, and many other unique items.
Hints and tips
There are two types of 'ocean' rooms at the Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, but it's important to know that Ocean View suites give a partial or obstructed view of the Caribbean Sea, while Ocean Front suites offer clear views.

If you're looking for a good time on Montego Bay's 'hip strip' (Gloucester Avenue) after dark, check out the original Margaritaville, where entertainment includes Mardi Gras-style parties and unlimited drinks for the ladies.

Would absolutely return!!!

Beautiful setting, beautiful hotel, excellent food, and save for 2 overconfident employees (forgot their place!) excellent, friendly staff. One and only complaint was probably just me...air conditioning could have been better, but it was not bad and certainly did not affect our total enjoyment.

best vacation ever

My experience was as best as they come when it came to Iberostar. Thats the best resort by far. Im from Jamaica and visited many resort not mentioning any names and by far, Iberostar tops them all. The only problems I had going and coming back was delayed flight on US airways. It was very problematic coming back when our flight was delayed so much that we missed our connecting flight and was held over on standby for almost five hours then final straw was when our bags was lost and wasn't retrieved until the next day. But overall, the stay at Iberostar made all worth wild. Thank you for a great time Iberostar, until next time.

Grand is Grand

The transportation to and from town to buy souvenirs is expensive! And the transportation to and from the bars downtown is timed and annoying! Otherwise I loves the staff and this hotel!

Great Family Vacation

We stayed at IRHS the for 1 week late June. Overall, we were 100% satisfied with this resort. We checked in and checked out quickly and any time we had interaction with the front desk it was pleasant. The rooms were setup nicely, with coffee/ mini fridge (stocked w 3 beers, soda & water), hairdryer, bathrobes, iron and safe. Housekeeping did a nice job daily and room service is available (30 minute wait). The resort itself is all enclosed, so the lobby, and hallways were all air conditioned. Food was the best AI food we have had aside from Sandals. Buffet at breakfast/ lunch or a la carte for dinner were all great. We dinned at Aunt Ruby's, Mexican (2X#, Buffet for dinner and went to the IRHB for Japanese and Mediterranean. We did not have any problem with making reservations, which we had trouble with this at another Iberostar in the DR. The bartenders did a good job, and tipping may get you better service if you spend a lot of time at the pool bar. There are 2 pools and the lazy river. The beach is not fantastic, but there are a few areas for snorkeling in front of IRHB. Plenty of chairs at the pool and the beach. There is drink service at both the beach and pool, but it is sporadic. There is a fitness center. It had weights and some cardio equipment that could be upgraded. They held spin classes daily. There is a kids club, with a water park. It seemed to be geared to younger children #4-8 years old). At the pool all day there are plenty activities organized, such as water polo, beach volley ball, horseshoes etc.. The Entertainment crew, Star Friends, were around all day at the pool engaging guests, and were part of the nightly shows as well. They were definitely a hard working bunch of people who seem to love their job. The nightly shows rotate on a bi-weekly schedule. We didn't make many shows at night, but what we saw were resort quality entertainment. We would return to this resort again for sure.

Mother Daughter Bonding in Jamaica

Let me start this review by saying we had an amazing time for the money at this resort. It was very clean and beautiful. The grounds were really well kept! We went for my daughters 18th birthday and they were very accommodating with my special requests for her. They even had a cake brought to our room the day of arrival! That was a great touch! This resort offers many free amenities so take advantage of them! From snorkeling to kayaking to beach volleyball we did it all. There is a great staff on hand at this resort to get you involved and give you information you need at any time. The resort offers the ability to book tours right in the hotel lobby. Take advantage of these. The location in Montego Bay is great for getting some sight seeing in while there. If group tours are not your thing, they will also get you a cab and you can explore on your own. The cabs come in a very short amount of time and the drivers are friendly and very informative. Now on to food. This is the reason that my review is a four instead of a five star. You will need to make reservations for dinner or you will end up eating at the buffet for dinner. The food at the buffet is mediocre at best. The food in the restaurants is better, but again not great. The staff in the buffet as well as in the restaurants were great. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome. Over all this resort was very clean, friendly and fun and I would return. We were able to see many of the other resorts on the tours we had booked and I would say we made the right decision. My daughter and I had an amazing time!

The Best Vacation Ever

This was our fourth return trip to this fantastic hotel and we have decided that we will only spend our vacations there. The check in was easy and provided by top notch personnel. Their friendleness, knowledge and willing to please far surpasses any place we have ever stayed. Our ocean front room and spacious balcony was beautifully decorated with all the ammenities one could want. We had a day butler and a night butler who strived to make us more comfortable than we ever imagined. The beds were like heaven to sleep in and topped with softest linens. It was the first time we ever had the option to pick from several types of bed pillows. Housekeeping kept us spotless. The food was delicious and although we dined mostly at the endless buffet we found the specialty dining to be excellent as well. The beach & pool kept us as busy as we wanted but there were endless other activities going on if one wants to be entertained. Another spectacular vacation and we can't wait to return.

Great sister week

Staff were very helpful, courteous, and accommodating. The meals were served in a professional manner. It would of been better to offer other wine choices instead of just the house wine, Mistico. The mixed drinks were fair, I ordered Baileys, it was on the menu, and received Rum cream. I had a similar experience when ordering a Margarita, ordered blended and received on the rocks. The Tequila was some brand I never heard of instead of a Cuervo, etc. The Baileys and Cuervo bottles are on their shelves but not used when mixing up drinks. Rooms were very clean, and mini bar stocked regularly. Pool areas and beach were clean. There are tours to take. We were unsatisfied with the Great House/White witch tour. It is a haunted house presentation done poorly, and takes away from the true history of a slave plantation in Jamaica. The tour representative was not helpful or accommodating regards to our concerns. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel for the price and

Overall, I was satisfied. For a moderatly priced an all-inclusive you couldn't really ask for more. The entertainment was generally well presented and continous. You could easliy opt out and find nothing to do as well. Food and drink were plentiful and easy to find.

getaway from the kids

the hotel is a beautiful hotel and the people who work there are great. always helpful even the guys at the desk. the food is pretty good although some of the specialty resturants could be a little better. the steak house was pretty good. at the buffet, the oxtail and curry goat was great. the jerk chicken at the bbq on the beach was the best. overall, I would recommend this hotel to others. Maybe next time I'll have an opportunity to stay at the Grand. the only downfall is that they need to upgrade their quality of alcohol. I'm a tequila drinker and they did not have any good tequila
