Best vacation, would defiantly go back
Had the most amazing time at this all-inclusive resort. Everyone was so friendly and always had a smile on their face. The entertainment group was very very good and always had people up and doing something. It rained a couple times but no one seemed to notice, they were having too much fun in the pool with activities and enjoying the swim up bar. Free snorkeling on site as well as other things to do. The food was surprisingly good. Also the hotel was about 20 minutes from the hotel. I honestly have ZERO complaints which is very impressive, because there is usually at least one negative thing.. but I really couldn't find anything wrong. Would absolutely recommend this hotel to people going to Jamaica!!

best cost performance ever!!
Although the quaity of staff service is pretty low, it is worth for staying this hotel. Reasonable price w/ good food & cocktails and nice location. Japanese restaurant was not good at all ( I can't call it " Japanese food" as it's totally different from the one I have in Japan.). However, Cajun restaurant was pretty nice. I didn't try Steak house. House keeping sometimes came at 9:00a.m., and 16:30 p.m. Mini bar refilled only every second day. They have beautiful beach and good for swimming (but not good for snorkeling and there's no coral reef.).

For a la carte restaurant, it's better to go for booking at 16:00. Within 10-15 minutes it will be long line and you have to wait long.

Great Time, Great Value
This resort has everything you want in an all-inclusive tropical getaway. The lively atmosphere was perfect for the large group of friends and family we were traveling with. There is enough space for those with families and those looking to unwind and let their guard down to co-exist. It is not a place I would recommend, however, if you are looking for a high-class atmosphere with peace and quiet (I would suggest looking outside of Jamaica for this...) The food is very good (there are sit-down dinner options available as part of your all-inclusive), however the buffets were definitely a bit fresher and better-tasting. Staff is friendly, and the drinks are delicious. Although gratuity is "included," tips seem to be expected. The beach is nice, however we spent most of our time at the pool area. Bring a watch. There are no clocks anywhere. Although it is nice to not have to worry about time, everything is on a schedule, and the lack of clocks (i.e. alarm clocks in the rooms) is borderline inconvenient if you leave your watch at home. I am the kind of person who feels safe in most places, however Montego Bay and Ocho Rios were somewhat sketchy. There is nothing around the hotel except for poverty, so look forward to staying on-property unless you want to take a bus to one of the sketchy urban areas. My girlfriend and I did an excursion Dunn's River Falls, which was fun. Our friends did zip-lining in Montego Bay, which was apparently a blast. I would have been fine staying on the property, however. If you use a bus service to get from the hotel and back, be sure to confirm your departure with the staff person at the hotel a day in advance. Organization is a bit lacking on this end.

Nightlife tip:
Short walk from hotel
The Iberostar Beach Hotel allows guests to use the nightclub/disco at the neighboring Iberostar Suites. The bars at the Beach Hotel are a bit subdued, so this is a good complement to your stay. If you don't wish to walk, there is a golf cart shuttle at the lobby entrance.

not so good
Horrible food. Annoying entertainment staff. Everyone begs for tips (ie, I asked for the better rum and the bartender demanded a bigger tip, not even in a joking way.)

Get in a taxi and go east from iberostar to The Ultimate Jerk Centre. The best jerk pork, cheap too($4.50 USD) and far better then the hotel's best meals.

So much fun I want to go back
The hotel was the perfect distance from the airport. not too close and not too far away. We had a 5th floor room with a fantastic view. Zero complaints. It's a classy place but with lots of fun to be had. We'd definitely consider going back next year. The bartenders were spectacular!

Good Value. Hotel Staff A+
It's a good all-inclusive hotel for the price you'll pay. not outrageously expensive ... what you'd expect from a hotel at this price. the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. expect to wait in line (too long of a wait, if you ask me) .. at the restaurant reservations line.

Wonderful vacation
this was our first visit to Iberostar and would definitely recommend this place! It was so beautiful and clean and 20 min from the airport. It is a gated resort with lots of staff and security. Loved having drinks brought to us while enjoying the beach or sitting in the lobby bar or pool area. Everyone was so friendly and helpful!! Food was delicious in the buffet and we enjoyed the steak house and japanese steakhouse too! The beach and water was very enjoyable, great snorkeling, saw 2 starfish and a stingray. We had a room on 3rd floor with great ocean view. Hope to return one day soon!

The hotel grounds were very nice and tropical. Plenty of bars. Very good food. Staff was mixed on service; some were VERY nice, others not so much. Room was ok, I have seen better at other resorts. Overall, I would come back.

Beware of the hip strip tour! VERY pushy at the shops you go to. Be ready to haggle! I would not do it again.
