Great Location
Hotel is only a few minutes away from Sangster Intl Airport. Easy shopping in hotel or better prices in small shopping center across street. Find a cab for the day to see "real" Jamaica.

Spring Break for Older Couples
We stayed at the Holiday Inn Sunspree from March 31st thru April 6th. We had room #6218 which was ocean front and located in building #6, which was a bit of a walk, but not to far. Rooms were very clean,and the staff was very friendly. The grounds were kept up extremely well. Food was fairly good. Did not like having to sign up in the morning to try the specialty restraunts, which always had a long line to stand in.

Good place to stay
Our stay was good - in some ways above average - at the Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort. I was impressed with the security in the hotel, around the buildings and on the beaches. The food was good and plentiful, the drinks were always available and did not skimp on alcohol, and there was always something to do. It was nice that they had an "adults only" pool and beach - that is by buildings 5-7 if you want to request that. Things that could be better: the beds were very uncomfortable and the bathrooms were very small. Overall, you get what you pay for: not a 5-star hotel, but very organized, clean, friendly and fun. Would stay there again. Great place for families with young children.

Great all-inclusive deal
My boyfriend and I came here for a 5 day vacation. Our goal was to have a relaxing vacation where we would spend almost all the time at the resort. Mission accomplished! Each night, we booked reservations at the 3 a-la-carte restaurants and ate breakfast & lunches at the poolside buffet. Food was standard for buffets--we didn't have too high expectations. The made to order station is where it's at--omelets and quesadillas were yummy! Try the curried mutton at the Jamaican restaurant if you have a chance. This is definitely not a spring break spot--many families with kids but we were given a room in the adult only building and spent all our time on the adult only beach. Only issue was getting lounge chairs under the cabana during the day because many people hold them with their towels. Definitely try snorkeling, kayaking and the catamaran! All great free activities that are included! Drinks were flowing (Pina Coladas were amazing) and the jerk chicken hut was delicious!

Great vacation
The beaches and water were extremely nice. We had no problem getting beach chairs. Several bars so, close to one all the time. The buffet and food were great and many options. Entertainment too slow for us. Would have preferred to also have a DJ with some good dance music. Travelled with two teenagers and perfect for them. Loved the ping pong and pool tables right next to the pool.

Nice and Relaxing
Overall the resort was in good shape and clean. The staff was very helpful and easy to interact with. The food and drinks were plentiful and there was an option of three 'specialty' restaurants. The resort has a series of nightly shows that were entertaining and a nice change from other options. The beach was clean and there was an island that was a nice place to sit out in the sun. The only limitation was that you could only walk the beach that was resort property. It seems like sectioning off the beach is the Jamaican way, at least in the Montego Bay area.

Great for Families!!
We had an excellent experience at the Holiday Inn Sun Spree Resort. It was very clean, food was great, staff was very friendly and they offered a lot of great amenities such as kids activities, adult activities, free non-motorized water sports, lots of places to sit on the beach or pool side and just relax. We will go back to this hotel when we go back to Montego Bay. The value is one of the best we've experienced. The only negative is that we got confused by their room descriptions and though we were getting something different than what we had expected, but the staff was friendly and were able to offer us an upgrade, that we were okay with paying for in order to better accommodate our family. Great family getaway! Can't wait to return!

You have to try Scotchies, it's an authentic Jamaican restaurant about 1/2 mile from the Resort. Nothing facing but the BEST food! Be sure to try the "festival"

OUr stay was pleasant enough for the price, if you are looking for more adult activities and do not want a lot of children running around, do not stay here. I found the majority of the staff not very pleasant, there were a few exceptions mainly at the front desk. I have been to other Carribean resorts and found their staff a lot more friendly and outgoing. The food was tasty, drinks not so good. Beach was clean and beautiful.
