Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive

This was our first trip to Jamaica and we were greeted at the check-in line with Rum Punch and Fruit punch, a wonderful treat after a long day traveling. The staff all went out of there way to help us settle in and even kept on top of our 'late - not lost' luggage. The hotel amenities are wonderful, I recommend taking the glass bottom boat out to snorkel! Even if you stay on the resort property, there is so much going on, you will never be bored. There are 3 reservation-only restaurants. We only made it to two, but both were very good. My issue with the reservations was that you had to go in-person at 3pm to make the reservations for the following night and you never kept track of time, so it was difficult to do that. This is a family oriented resort, but my husband and I never were really conscious of too many kids or disruptive kids, even though there were lots of little ones running around, in the pools and at activities. The bartenders are all amazing and will make whatever you ask for, just make sure to know your favorite drink ingrediants... sometimes they wouldn't know how to make something.

I stayed at the Sunspree Holiday Inn Resort with my fiance, in Jamaica. The staff at the Holiday Inn were great. I would reccomend this hotel to FAMILYS with younger children only. As far as activites, the only activities that went on were, DJ's on stage during the day, playing games and doing karaoke and etc... They also have padel boats and glass bottom boats during the day that you can go on. I was hoping for more Interactive activites. Every night we stayed, the night time entertainment lasted until about 9pm. For a family hotel, that is a good time I suppose. We are a young couple so next time I think I would like to choose a hotel that has later entertainment. The food was great at the buffet. If you want to make reservations for their restaurant you will need to make sure you do ASAP. The hours for making your reservation were not conveniant and you had to do it the same day, no later..no sooner. My only complaint is that we did not have a refrigerator in our room when we got there, in fact, i thought that it had not even come w/one until we found out our neighboors didnt have one and was able to request one. I wish we would have known this because we were using ice bucket after ice bucket to keep our drinks in our room cold. =) I would still reccomend this hotel, but to FAMILYS only! The family would have a great time at an affordable price.

The hotel room was clean-comfortable and all have balcony or patio. The food is good. I caution you to not leave the property alone - we were told there was a shopping village across the street - the street is in the midst of construction and we had to cross near shacks and we were being Begged to purchase a piece of aloe plant --- both days and the man would not leave us alone, following us from store to store. Several people followed us and cornerd one friend showing her pot - begging for a sale. Don't stop and talk to any of them. When going through the Village of shops - they will yell at you if you don't go in. A couple were very nice and the two run by Indians much more pleasurable. In the water - there are people selling items on boats so don't let your kids go out in the water alone - one person rammed me with his boat because I wasn't buying. We had trouble checking in and making reservations for the rest. needing reservations is a joke. They want tips. We were told there was no room and when we tipped $5 we were given a reservation.... there were two other tables filled - that's it. Be wary of the game. Food at the Sea Breeze was terrible and the staff is not friendly if you aren't tipping. I would not go back. I did enjoy the included amenitites - no sailing lessons but you can be taken out on a small catamaran for 4 - we did that and I went Kayaking several times. At no point is the water deep enough for a good swim and lots of dark slimy seaweed in the swimming areas. THe Pools are awesome and there are great shows at night outside.

THE PEOPLE IN THE HOTEL WERE VERY NICE AND THE FOOD, THE PLACE. WE WERE THERE FOR 4 DAYS AND IT WAS GREAT NO COMPLAINTS.

The Holiday SunSpree Resort was unlike any Holiday Inn we had ever stayed in in the past. The all inclusive details not only included food, beverages, and things to do at the beach, but also being able to make reservations to other restaurants nearby at no charge for that dinner. They also made available transportation to and from Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for Jamaica Night'. They have a full line of entertainment by the center pool area. Very Well done! Our family of 6 had so much fun we didn't want to come home!
