Relaxing get away
We just spent a week at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. It is a good resort for the price. The staff was very attentive to our needs. The drinks were plentiful. There was always enough choices to eat well. Over all you can not beat it for the price, if you want high class this isn't for you, but if you want to vacation and not empty your bank account this is a good choice.

wonderful stay
wonderful place ..only two thing lacking.... 1 a bar on the private island and 2 drinks and water in the fridge in the room.

RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET AND 2 BEAUTIFUL SHOPS ON SITE. THEY ALSO BRING IN VENDORS 3 TO 4 TIMES A WEEK WITH GREAT STUFF.

Ignore the Negative Reviews!
I was apprehensive about staying at the Holiday Inn Sunspree after reading so many negative reviews. My conclusion is that only the bad stuff is posted and not all of the good stuff. I am posting positive comments abou the resort. We were very impressed with the resort from the moment we stepped out of the cab. The hotel property is beautiful and very clean. The ocean view from our room was unbelievable. All of the employees were extremely courteous to us and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. When we had a minor problem with the bathroom, maintenance was there in a flash to fix it. The food was plentiful. Some of it was not to my liking, but I didn't have to look far to find something I did like. We ate at two of the reservations only restaurants and were pleased with the food and service. If the opportunity arises, will I stay again at the Holiday Inn Sunspree? Absolutely!!!!!

Nice Trip for Price
The hotel was exactly what I expected for the price we paid. I've stayed at both 3 star and 4 star properties. if you are looking for high end restaurants and liquors, please look elsewhere. The food was ok and the liquors were all "local" liquors.

Try the ala carte restaurants. The italian restaurant was good and they hibatchi was very good. There is a $20 surcharge for the hibatchi but it was well worth it.

Girls Getaway
For the price we paid, we couldn't ask for much more. You get what you pay for. The beds are small and hard as a brick and they kept running out of wash clothes. The resort is very kid friendly. The food was on par for resort food but they didn't have food service at all times. The beach is nice and they have water sports for you. There are a few stores across the street, Bedazzled is the best store, Alex was great to shop with. I would go again if I had children but I'd advise couples to go elsewhere.

Awesome Group Getaway
If you can make it past "Check-in," you will be just fine! I, along with 11 of my friends traveled to Montego Bay from New Jersey, USA to celebrate my one of my friend's 30th birthday. We had an awesome time. Not only were there things to do on the resort all day (trivia, pool games, etc.) & and night (live music, karaoke, etc.), but the hotel also provided a nightly shuttle to the "Hip Strip" where there is a Margaritaville along with some other clubs. The food was also great. If you love Carribean food, the buffet has a wide variety of fresh selections. However, if you want a bit more exclusivity, you can make reservations at the a la carte restaurants. My only caution with these reservations is to: BOOK EARLY & BE ON TIME! This is my 2nd time at the resort. I was so willing to convince such a large group of people to stay here, because for $634 (roundtrip airfaire, hotel stay, travel insurance) you can't beat this resort by far. The best advise I can give is to keep in mind when reading some of the negative reviews, what your actual interests are. My friends and I traveled to Montego Bay and chose Holiday Inn Sunspree solely to eat, drink, party, and be merry. We therefore had no concern for any noise levels (since we were the ones usually making the most noise), how comfortable the beds were (since we had no intentions of being in the room), or how long we had to wait in line to check-in (since the free drinks begin flowing as soon as you step foot on the resort). This resort has something for everyone. I'd stay again if I had to.

Although tipping is "forbidden" on the resort. If you toss a dollar for good service every once in a while, good service becomes great! Also, Don't accept the first price any local gives, when looking to purchase something or travel somewhere. They're always willing to negotiate!

Beach Resort
It was a very good experience, nothing was specifically spectacular, but nothing was terrible. It is a 3 star hotel which is appropriate. The food was pretty good, not spectacular, but the drinks were actually pretty strong, which was a huge plus. Good place to vacation in Jamaica for a reasonable price.

Third time there
As always the staff was wonderful. Water main broke while we were there and we had to change rooms but new room had awesome garden and ocean view. My friend and I (both women) feel very safe here and are always treated with respect. Drinks are pretty weak but if you tell them you want top shelf that is hidden from view they get it for you. My friend that I traveled with lost her father just days before our departure and mother ill too. Her phone didn't work over there but Andre in the photo shop let her use his on a daily basis to call home and wanted to pay for it. Of course she tipped him well but in return he wanted to have drinks with "very nice American Ladies". We went across road to shopping area and Taxi driver helped us across highway and escorted us. When we came out of shopping area it was pouring down rain and shop owner offered us his driver to drive us back across the road. We have never had bad experience. It is not a 5 Star but who cares? It is clean, friendly, safe, and close to airport. We only sleep in our rooms for a few hours. The rest of the time is spent on the beach, by the pool, reading and relaxing. Will go back many more times.
