Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort Montego Bay All Inclusive

When we arrived, we had a welcome cocktail and the good service just continued. Staff was Very curtious and friendly. Only problem is it was my 65th bday on the 31st and I called ahead couple times to request 4th floor ocean front and we were given first floor where all you could see from the patio was the bushes. By 5 Friday we moved and were given 4th floor ocean front with balcony and a fruit platter and water compliments of the hotel so all's well that ended well.

Just got back from a 5-day stay at Holiday Inn Sunspree! First I have to say is it is like being on a private Island when you look out at the ocean you don't see land anywhere! The staff is excellent, they are VERY friendly! The room was very clean, got serviced everyday, and yes they do fill your amenities. Only complaint is the noisy A/C. I did not find the food terrible, in fact the buffet food is fresh and includes daily local dishes. The four a la carte restaurants are mediocre though and can be skipped with no great harm. Service at the buffet was quick, helpful and always came with a smile! We were never bored in the evenings as the entertainment was very good. Also they have some of the best snorkling areas around! Plenty bars to get a drink all day and night though I was disappointed that none of them had fresh limes or lemons. Overall we thought it was a great deal for the money and would return again

I have traveled all over the Caribbean and Mexico so I am accustom to the different foods but ... the fruit was poor and only a few choices. If you are from the northern USA, I can assure you that you will not like 85% of the food. Large amount of rice, beans and fish. Food has little variety and is used in several meals to cut down on their waste. To eat at their restaurants and not the buffet, there is a $20 per person charge. Was suppose to be "all inclusive". Most staff is polite but slow as can be expected. We asked a pool staffer to please move the umbrella over because it was hitting the flag pole and he said " no, it's to much work" and walked away. Evening entertainment ... I'm sorry I don't enjoy audience participation like playing musical chairs on stage. Generally low end entertainment. Although there was a fantastic violinist. They advertise room service but there is no room service available. Would I stay there again? No Bottom line, you get what you pay for and for a couple hundred dollars more it would be well worth going to a different resort.

If you like roaches the size of tennis balls. go here. Room was infested with roaches. When I complained to manager was a pig and he called me a liar despite showing him pictures and the staff coming in and seeing the roaches and spraying the room at our request. The hotel is nasty we got sick from the moldy smell of the room.

Staff were not friendly at all and the choice for food was very limited and always cold. buffet food all the time or pay to upgrade when this was to be all inclusive. only strong point was clean rooms. wait staff need to be more sanitary in food service. Saw a waitress combine three glasses of wine into one and then serve to customer.NOT COOL I would never recomend or return to this place again.

We went for a wedding in Kingston and then spent a few days at the Holiday Inn SunSpree. Minus the wedding, the resort was the highlight of the trip. The room was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. They offered a few Jamaican dishes...being original from Jamaica, I wish they offered more. The long stretch of beach where the hotel is located is beautiful. The entertainment at resort is catered more towards family so there wasn't much to do at nights but they have a pub that had a pianist and a one man band. My last night at the resort, there was a musician playing the guitar and keyboard…let’s say, we were all jamming to reggae music that night. We had a wonderful time!

We had a great time because the staff was awesome, everyone was able to make us believe in respect and one love

I booked a Holiday Inn purely to save money to be able to go to an island. Holiday Inns in the state are just, OK, nothing fancy nothing great but it does the job. I have to say this place is MUCH MORE then a regular Holiday Inn. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and the view was great (a beautifully kept courtyard with a view of the ocean to the left). Every room has a balcony/patio (on the ground level). The Food was pretty good. Some nights better then others, with plenty of tasty varity and 4 resturants to choose from which were even better! The grounds were ALWAYS well kept, and cleaned up everyday. The "private island" was much better then the photos show. The property itself isnt a deep lot but long, running along side of the ocean, which means no matter what room you get, just walk out onto your balcony and youll be able to see the ocean. Staff was friendly and would always chat with you for a bit if you started up a convo. I figured i wasnt going to get much for a 3 star Holiday Inn, but let me tell you, money well spent, and CHEAP TOO! Would DEFINATELY come back!

The staff at this hotel were wonderful. They made the difference in this visit. The hotel itself is great for kids, but very loud at night with computer generated ambiance. They also have an arrangement with a taxi company which keeps out the local cabbies keeping the prices very high unless one leaves the hotel compound to find better pricing. Local commerce is kept away from this facility. With kids, this hotel was great giving much to do for them. For an adult, I would stay elsewhere. The staff should be given the highest rating as they were awesome.

The New years spread was great # The beach is on a cove # Proximity to airport The not so good, # This is an 2-3 star property # AC was noisy and not very effective Over all, we and our family enjoyed the stay. They have activities. We have seen better new years eve parties though. After all the reviews we heard, Montego Bay and Jamaica felt safe. There was not much hassle from vendors, as long you keep your distance and say a nice "no thank you" Prices in the hotel shop are comparable to ones in town. Have a great stay !!!!!
