Room was exactly what I had reserved, but the bed was incredibly hard. I was so tired after excursions (which I paid for outside of all inclusive price) that I ended up sleeping fine. I didn't like having to reserve a spot for dinner the day before in one of the restaurants, especially when they were not full when we were dining. The seafood restaurant's was not up to par with the rest of the resort and were out of some of the things that we ordered. Beach was small and had to stake out the chairs early if you wanted to be on the beach early....afternoons weren't a problem.

Good Value
Just returned from a week in Jamaica at the Holiday Inn . Its a large property with a lot of beach frontage, although much of the beach is not very usable with rocky reef out only a hundred feet from shore,. An exception is a great shallow beach area and little island which isperfect for kids and family. This is really a great family resort for small kids with activities and kid care. There is separate adult beach and pool area so good if you want to be away from it all a little more. We found the service to good , but could they use more help at bars and restaurant during busy lunch/dinner times. The food ok, usually found something to eat, but rather limited menu. Overall, for a good reasonable cost get away to Jamaica we found it to be a good value

Had a great, chill time
I went to vacation with my 3 friends for spring break. We had a great time- the area was so beautiful & there is an island in the water to tan on. It was like 70% families, 30% spring breakers. good food & drinks, but you have to wake up early to reserve the restaurants. staff could have been a little more friendly but once they opened up they were cool.

This is stupid all names
You get what you pay for, OK maybe a little less
Needs to fix simple things, They advertise adult beach volley ball at 4:30 everyday, but 5 out of 8 days they could not come up with a ball, main outdoor bar very slow (lack of number of workers, people there worked hard), lack of ice, proper soda drink mix,No glasses for soda Ice cream came pre-melted every day. Also as many have said, not a swimming beach or pool, all very shallow and small. Had to get up and in line at 6:30 in morning to get dinner reservation for Italian, and I was not first in line. Very average place at best. I will not go back

As at front gate to get a driver to take you shopping, place across the street you get pestered. Booze was cheaper at airport.

Just okay
This resort was just okay. Should have been nicer for the price. One piece that was better than expected was the food - better than the other all inclusives I've stayedat. I was disappointed that there was no mini bar in the room or room service. No food was allowed in the room.

Great place for family & friends
The Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort was a great place to stay for my spring break trip with my friends. There were people of all ages there, including children and families. The food was alright in the buffet, but I would definitely recommend trying out the different restaurants. I really liked the Italian one. The beaches are nice and the staff is very friendly. The rooms are also clean, but we did run into some issues getting all the towels we needed. Overall, I would recommend this resort for the price & friendliness of the staff.

Room was not ready till 4PM. It was in an awful location. acoss from the speakers on the stage and next to the bar that was open till 1am. The next morning I got a room change. The food was OK.

The room was not available until 4 PM. Check in is at 3 PM. The first room they put us in was awful. It was ocean front, but it also was across from the entertainment stage and right next to the Barefoot Bar. We had traveled all day and needed some sleep. The band played until 10:30 and the bar was open until 1AM. It sounded like they were in our room. Especiallly the woman laughing at the bar till 1 AM. I got another room the next morning. They were good about changing the room. The second room was great. Join Priority Club with Holiday Inn, on line, before you go. You get a room up grade and have a shorter line when you check in. We've been to the Holiday about 4 times. It is a good value for your money.

Remember to take your mug for drinks, They charge $20+ for one in the gift shop. They are cheaper in the shops across the street from the hotel. Take a supply of sun screen. It cost twice as much there as it does at home. Liquor prices at the airport are just as cheap as anywhere else, and you don't have to pack it. Coffee prices vary from $36-$20 per pound. $36 at the gift shop at the Holiday, $24 in a grocery store and $20 at a shop in Negril.

Family getaway
Our experience at this hotel was pretty good, they have alot of people that work there that are really good and make it such a great place (Husein especially) some of the people that work there are really crabby and did not make a good impression at all. We did have a fire on the second night we were there and the hotel staff handled it pretty well and they did a great job of taking care of the people that were affected. I did feel that they didn't inform you of what was going until much later and did not mention any kind of reimbursement unless you had inquired

Typical Holiday Inn
Check in was very slow to get our room,2.5 hours, But the Priority Club card got us an upgrade from a standard room to a room with an ocean view with a frig. Nice. The front desk check in should have told us why it was taking so long.. I would have been a lot more receptive to the wait. The close all the bars but two at 6:00pm. Then you have a waiting line for a drink. It's tough on the bartenders. If you walk up with a tip you get a drink quick. For an all inclusive that's not right. The Hotels policy is not to tip. If you want to go to the front desk and put it in the card and the box. Then the share it with everyone. The room was OK and clean. We got what we paid for. It's a nice location, just 5 min. from the airport. The beach is all manmade and long compared to some properties. All in all a good five days.
