Fun Trip!

The hotel was nice and clean but a little outdated. The beaches were not as nice as I have seen but the infinity pool was wonderful! I wish the resort were a little closer to other attractions. I was disappointed with the shopping.

Snorkeling @ Sunset Cove. Water shoes for foot protection and bananas to feed the fish. They come out of hiding for the banana. Off site excursions: CHUKKA adventures: Zipline, Tubing on Great River. Execellent activities and guides.

NO SERVICE

Property at best should be rated 3 Star. No room service, no poolside service or staff to help navigate property. Several in our wedding party had to change rooms. Do not go here expecting heavenly bed comfort. Staff seem friendly but lack supervision. Our overall impression was management is chasing dollars instead of providing value added service(you need new pool lounge chairs). I got a chance to do two scuba dives and enjoyed the rental equipment and dive boat. Bottom line, do not go here expecting four star level amenities or service.

Nice Vacation

Fanstatic stay!!!. Location was great. Resort is very spacious, very clean. On-site shuttle service provided to move around. Staff was always very courteous and helpful. A variety of beaches and pools with lots of activities. Food was very good throughout the 7 thematic restaurants and the 3 buffets. One point that we feel needs to be improved is the nightly show in the theater. We found it to be a little amateurish most of the 7 nights we attended. The other point needing improvement would be more consistency from the ladies making the room everyday. From one day to the other we would be missing one or two different types of towels. One day, they forgot completely to leave any towel in the room. We had to call the bell service to have somebody delivered them to us. Overall, we would go back anytime.

overall not bad for the price

Good value for the price. The setting was great and the food was average to good depending on the day. The staff was friendly, but we did tip well. The room was average, but we were in villa 26 and nice and close to everything on the Lady Hamilton side. The pool was huge and the beaches were great with plenty of room for everyone.

Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. This was our third time to the hotel so we definitly like it. We have noticed the staff seems to be a bit more pushy as in trying to get you to sign up to their club etc and this was frustrating. The hotel needs a bit more mantinance in the rooms themselves. The food was good. And the beaches are very nice. After the third time we may be look some where else the next time reggae vibes and the jamaica sun calls us again.

Destination Wedding

We were at the Lady Hamilton for a wedding. We had a great time 'cause we were with a fun group. The pool is crystal clear. Plenty of chaises, towels, etc Bring water shoes if you want to walk in the water on the beach and watch out for big embedded stones. Mixed drinks great. Local beer, too. Wine they offered with the meals, especially the red, was undrinkable - watered down. Arrange for an outside tour or you'll never learn about Jamaica. Most of the staff was friendly and very helpful.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The buffet was very good but when they ran out of something - like ice cream - they sometimes didn't refill it. The service in the other restaurants was terrible and men needed long pants to enter some. Way too long a wait for the food and drinks. Eat in the Negril buffet where they offer all kinds of food but get there by 8am for breakfast and early for lunch and dinner. Go straight to the station where they prepare omelets (breakfast) or pasta (dinner).

Average at best

The majority of the staff seemed to be bothered by our presence. Some were friendly but most were less than pleasant. The air conditioning in our room and our other family members' rooms did not keep the rooms cool. Complaints about the A/C were ignored. We spent an uncomfortable amount of time in two of the three Ala Carte restaurants #over two hours#. Unfortunately, the food wasn't worth the long wait. The pool was large and roomy, but wasn't full enough for the water to cycle through the skimmers, so the water wasn't the cleanest. I'd stay somewhere else next time.
