El Greco Resort

Booked this resort last minute due to having very bad experience in Negril. Spent my last two nights of a week long stay in Jamaica and found it to be perfect. Wish I would have booked this place originally for the whole week. Doctors Cave Beach is easy to get to and very nice. The pool was not crowded and very comfortable. The breakfast is made to order with option of American style or Jamaican style. I recommend the Jamaican style--very good! The rooms are more like apartments and not like hotel rooms at all.

Every time i stay at El Greco the stuff make me full safe and the location is great every thing is in walk distance of the hotel and the room is like a very nice apartment .

Its not a hotel for those looking for top notch amenties. Its great for a season carribean traveler who wants more of a native touch w/ security. There is a full kitchen in every suite. The beach is right across the road which u get a free pass. (Saving of $6 pp). The "bottom road" is where all the tourist stuff and clubs/bars are. You are right there at this hotel. You get a free breakfast which is more of a "typical jamaican" breakfast. (I liked it). They try with the "american" breakast. Lol. Customer Service is on point! If u don't like something just ask for it to be changed.

My husband and I stayed at EL Greco with another couple for three days before we headed off to an all-inclusive. The accommodations were perfect for two couples as we each had our own very large bedroom with ensuite. The suites were at opposite ends of the hallway on the second floor. The first floor consisted of a full size kitchen, dining room, sitting room and balcony. We easily walked onto the main road to shop for souvenirs and get local food as well as American fare. You could walk into downtown Montego Bay as well. Included in the room rate were free passes to the beach which was a bit inconvenient if you wanted to spend a lot of time on the beach but the hotel had a very nice swimming pool. There is a great variety store at the bottom of the elevator where the staff was exceptionally friendly, took American money and guaranteed the best prices for everyday items. You can’t beat Margaretaville for dancing on Thursday nights to get the full flavour of island fun. El Greco isn’t a four star resort to be sure, but it suited our needs perfectly and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again, for even longer next time.

I ENJOYED THE LOCATION OF THE RESORT. I REALLY ENJOYED MY SUITE D206. THE RESORT WAS IN A GREAT LOCATION AND VERY SAFE. FREE DAILY PASSES TO DOCTOR'S CAVE BEACH, INCLUDED A WONDERFUL BREAKFAST ( YOUR CHOICE OF JAMAICAN OR AMERICAN, THE RESTAURANT OVERLOOKED THE BEACH. THE SUITE WAS FULLY LOADED. THE STAFF WAS EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, ESPECIALLY THE HOUSEKEEPERS AND THE RECEPTIONISTS.

First off, if you are wanting luxury or money is no option, then this is probably not the best hotel for you. However, it suited me fine for a quick getaway. Pros: Room is large and you get a decent kitchen/living space. Great staff that is willing to go the extra mile to make you comfortable An elevator ride away from the beach and the main restaurants (hotel is situated on the top of a hill) Free breakfast! Cons: AC is only in the bedroom Room did not have a good view Living furniture and TV need upgrading

I have heard of El Greco Resort for some time. I decided to try it out. I loved the condominium. It was very clean, no bugs. The room was spacious. I had a one bedroom. We needed an extra bed. They brought an extra full size bed, right away. It was placed near the balcony. For the money it is the best I could have experience. The people were, well, Jamaican, friendly, polite, accommodating and darn right humanitarians. The location is perfect, just perfect, across the street from Doctor Cave Beach, which you get to use. When you come out of the Resort you are on the HIP STRIP. I will definitively go back. Oh, Yeah, it is 5 minutes away from the airport. So that means, if I decide to visit another part of the island and stay 5 days, I will spend the last two or three days at El Greco. For the money it is great.

We had a great time at El Greco Resort. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was great. The pool and room was very clean. It was just in an unsafe area after dark.
