Perfect business hotel!
In the past, finding a decent business hotel in Kingston was impossible. Since The Spanish Court opened, it has made my business trips to Kingston enjoyable. The hotel has everything i need while in town to work, including a coffee bar, with great food and amazing deserts. Great location, great service, great rooms...what else can i ask for when it town for work!

Great Accomodation
This hotel is the best there is in New Kingston. Nothing better. I have stayed at all teh other hotels and they finally got it right when it comes to needs of the business traveler. Beautiful rooms, clean, excellent facilities, great restaurant.

Wonderful
There was so much to do in the area of the hotel. I had a wonderful time and was treated like more than a guest from the hotel staff. Everyone was very friendly to my 6 year old daughter and for her first time in Jamaica she is anxious to go back. The room was beautiful and I honestly did not expect that. I have traveled to Jamaica many times and never thought to get a hotel. By far, the Spanish Court Hotel is a place I will always keep in mind if I ever want to stay in a hotel on my next visit.

Beautiful hotel
Only stayed for one night as main reason was to be closer to the airport after spending time with family in port antonio. The hotel is in New Kingston nearby all the other well known hotels (Hilton, Pegasus and Knutsford court)there are restaurants/food shops available on the main road and there is a supermarket opposite.I had free internet access on the hotels own laptops which was loaned out to me, also completely free. Continental Breakfast was a good selection you could go up as many times as wanted the staff attended to you immediately in all areas of the hotel.Would have liked to have tried dinner and experienced the on the roof swimming pool but just wasnt enough time. Its a fairly new hotel only opening in 2009 hope all the fantastic standards can be carried forward for many more years.

Great Architecture but poor support
First of all, for those who never been in Kingston, there is a huge contrast between what you expect as a traveler and what you will find. Police with automatic guns on the streets is not my type of vacation. I selected Spanish Court because I had enough of Hilton and Crowne and I like a little touch of personality. The hotel is impressive but maybe I was the unlucky one. They gave me a room on the floor level that had only 2 small 1sqft windows. The room was very clean and large with all amenities. There was a fridge but no water bottles anywhere. It was late and I was not in my best mood so I decided not to follow up and ask for another room. The restaurant was closing at 10PM (or 11PM) therefore we decided to go in town. We asked for a taxi at the reception (that came fast). I am not sure what was that because it had no meter and the driver charged us about 3 times how much I paid a regular cab to come back. Since the drive was only about 2-3km I was rather expecting a courtesy drive. I do not mind walking but, again, the streets did not look safe. The only friendly person was the bell boy who gave me extensive directions regarding my options. Kudos to him! In the morning I was looking to get a local breakfast (not the "continental breakfast") but I was surprised that there was no serious option. When I asked for a coffee I had no option either therefore I decided to leave and try my luck in town. The reception was more busy with a video shut (probably a commercial) rather than with the customers. My recommendation for them is to be really customer oriented. When you pay that much for a room (and there are many other options) you have expectations. I am not recommending this hotel. It is a show up but there is nothing to support it. The initial idea was good but the actual management has a lot to learn.
