A special feature of Villa Quaranta is the combination of classic and refined style of the historic areas with the modernity and efficiency of the buildings that complete the structure, as the Congress&Event Center with 8 modular meeting rooms that can welcome up to 400 people, an important location for the realization of conferences and special events of high organizational level, and the fully equipped SPA Terme della Valpolicella, 2500mq dedicated to wellness and relax. This broad structure composed of several buildings is surrounded by a property of 20000mq with park and garden with pond. Within the walls of the park there is the historic country villa, that has been for years the summer residence of the noble Veronese family of Quaranta and that after the restructuring is hosting the prestigious Restaurant Borgo Antico while most of the rooms of the Hotel are inserted in the annexed seventeenth-century courtyard. A wonderful 17th century historic Villa in the heart of Valpolicella Classica, ideally located few kms from Lake Garda and from the Art City of Verona.

Having seen some beautiful photos of charming and classical rooms before booking, we got a mixed first impression upon arrival. The main building is very modern but stylish, the same goes for the rooms in that section. We had two completely
different rooms, one in the old part, which was very much like expected, small but cozy. The other one was more like any other hotel room you find elsewhere. I would go there again, but would then choose a double deluxe room in the traditional style. Please note that if you find the air conditioning not working, just call the reception and they'll make the necessary adjustments :-) I think the staff should inform about this. They were however very friendly and helpful. The outdoor swimming pool area is beautiful and large, so guests with or without children had enough space to play around or just relax. I didn't have time to enjoy the spa, but it looks very nice. Maybe next time! Since this hotel is outside Verona, I personally think they should offer free WiFi as well as an affordable shuttle service to Verona; 25 Euro per person per way is too much!
