Great location, accommodation, service
Porta Palio is only 15 mins' walk from rail/bus station, and 15 mins' walk to the Arena -- tho' they lay on a free coach there and back for the opera, which is why I was there. It would have helped if staff had been more knowledgeable about the Garda bus stop, and had offered more info re the free coach; eg dropping off/pick-up point. However, I thought it really good value, and enjoyed a good buffet breakfast and evening meal in the open-air part of the restaurant. Would definitely use it again!

Don't buy drinks, alcoholic or otherwise, in the Arena. A can of Coke was EUR 4!

Slightly out of town, about 20 mins walk. Wi-Fi available but expensive at 2.50 euros for half an hour.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable for the two of us. It was located in the front, in an upper floor and had a panoramic view. A main road was in front but the double glazing stopped the noise. Breakfast was one of the better ones in our Italy tour. The taxi fare from the train station to the Hotel was about 7 euros. Manuela in reception was helpful. The hotel itself is clean and is within walking distance to the main sites in Verona. We enjoyed our stay here.

20 minutes to the train station
20 minutes to the train station by walking and also 20 minutes to the centre. From the station, 4 or 5 stops by bus if you do not want to walk and easy to find the bus. We stayed in a large and clean double room facing the canal passing behind the hotel. Very good choice for short stays.

Проживал с семьёй (одна комната - три кровати). Период - две ночи. Отель понравился. Расположен недалеко от Центра. Машиной ехать пять минут. Уборка номера качественная. На второй день поменяли постельное бельё и полотенца. Есть маленький холодильник для напитков, укомплектованный парой бутылочек минералки. Кондиционер работает тихо. Окна выходили на канал и всё же вечером и утром было шумновато. Если бы попался номер с окнами на проезжую часть, думаю, шум бы был реальной проблемой. Из трех отелей, посещённых нами в этой поездке завтраки в Porta Paliо понравились больше всего прежде всего разнообразием (вспомнилась Турция). Присутствовали овощи, было несколько сортов сыра и ветчины. Блюда на раздаче вовремя пополнялись. В смежном с отелем здании имеется ресторан. Воспользоваться им не довелось. Имеется подземный гараж (платный). Но в 50-ти метрах на улице есть свободная необустроенная стоянка (во торую ночь накануне выходных она оказалась вся заполнена).

Idéalement placé mais sans charme"
Bonne hôtel pour le passage ou quelques nuits mais pas pour un long séjour. En Périphérie, pratique pour les voiture moins façile si vous êtes à pieds.

Eravamo partiti con qualche perplessità perchè le recensioni non erano concordanti e qualcuna era veramente allarmante, in particolare riguardo al personale della reception. Devo dire che invece ho trovato persone molto disponibili.Accoglienza ottima e cordiale, servizio camera e colazione decorosi.

Considerando i prezzi degli hotel
Considerando i prezzi degli hotel a Verona ,direi che il prezzo pagato e' buono . L'hotel rimane in una strada trafficata ma le camere sono insonorizzatre bene, il problema sorge d'estate. Possibilita di nolo biciclette. Il centro e' raggiungibile a piedi, il problema sorge di notte perche' la zona e' molto buia.
