15 minute bus ride to venice, friendly staff
Staff was super friendly - game me a map, explained transportation, circled the sites to hit up in Venice. Hotel itself was nothing special but seemed clean and a very modest breakfast was provided. I got a single room and it came with two single beds and a foldout - plenty of room. All in all, was a good place to stay that easily got me to Venice without the steep price.

I read that Venice has no nightlife, but we were able to find plenty of bars on a Saturday night in Venice (by the Rialto bridge). Buses run all night so no need to cut the night short to get back across the bridge to the hotel

An average hotel in a quiet place
An average hotel in a quiet place near Mestre Railway Station, kept by chinese diaspora. Chinese restaurant on a ground floor, and a nice pizzeria next door. Good transport connections to the center of Venice and Marco Polo airport.

Room dirty and air conditioning
Room dirty and air conditioning was not working, staff in restaurant friendly, no so at reception. Beds very hard and uncomfortable we had paid for 4 nights but left after 3 as too noisy at night with other guests in the hallway smoking and talking to all hours of the night

Very good location e.g. for travelers
Very good location e.g. for travelers visiting Venice. At close distance from shuttle bus stop to Venice and also at walking distance from Mestre railway station for convenient arrival and departure by train.

Have used this hotel several times
Have used this hotel several times and its always been good value. Its in Marghera, a few minutes walk from Mestre station and a good choice if you don't want to pay Venice prices.

the location close to the train
the location close to the train station is very practical for anyone who wants to pay less but stay very in venice.trains go to venice every 15minutes and the trip is 10 minute long.

Pleasant, Chinese family run hotel
Pleasant, Chinese family run hotel with good facilities and space. A little way off the beaten track but still 10-15 minutes from Mestre station with regular trains to Venice, and connections everywhere. Hotel was a littlee quiest but 50 yards away was a popular "locals" bar which was very friendly, and busy. Possibly not the best location to warrant returning tto, but good value for money

there must be better hotel choices
One should be able to find better value for their money even in Venice. To me, the biggest turnoff was the below average condition of the facility. Worn-out carpets, hallways smelling of a mixture of cleaning chemicals and ethnic foods, the price which I think was outrageously high considering the above. Amazingly it's rated as a 3* when I think even a 2* star rating would be too generous. The only positive thing I could say about it was the staff was helpful and friendly and it is close to the VE-Mestre railway station.
