Starhotels Splendid Venice

The hotel is conveniently located near St. Marks square. We arrived in Venice by train at the St. Lucia train station. We then took the vaporeto(their water bus boat) to the Rialto stop and walked to the hotel. Only took about 10 minutes. After you are in the hotel, its close to everything and you won't need any boat rides to get anywhere. The rooms are super luxurious. My wife and I would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

This hotel was BEAUTIFUL! In fact, we loved it so much that my family was arriving to Venice shortly after we departed and we told them to stay here as well! Not the easiest hotel to find but what hotel is when its in Venice? The check-in time was supposed to be 2PM but they were short staffed and we ended up not getting our room until 3:30PM which was a bummer since we were traveling from Milan. However, the hotel is so beautiful! It reminded me of a hotel in San Francisco or LA. The beds were comfy compared to european beds and the atmosphere was great! I would stay here again if I came back to Venice!

It was in a perfect location, I love this hotel, is very ellegant and contemporary at the same time!!! the restaurant was delicious.!!!

A very good hotel centrally located in San Marco and close to Rialto. Great bathroom. Breakfast was very good also. Staff are helpful.

It rained for most of the two days we were in Venice & if the room had not had nice beds/pillows & 2 windows that opened that were over a small service canal & brick enclosed garden (Rm#124) It's not a huge room but comfortable.....it would have been a terrible stay. Nice Breakfast.

We really had a hard time finding the hotel. The staff was very patient on the phone redirecting us at every call after wrong turns. The location couldn't have been better for "newbies" being able to locate everything we wanted to see. My granddaughter LOVED the breakfast! I loved the spotless bathroom the bed was very comfortable. We'd stay here again.

My dream trip of a lifetime was to visit Venice, Italy. Starhotel Splendid assisted me in making that dream come true. Being a single woman, safety was a priority! The hotel could not have been in a better location! It is approximately ten minutes to the Rialto Bridge and ten minutes in the opposite direction to St. Mark's Square. It is off a busy traveled alley with many shops surrounding it. The staff were very friendly amidst the front counter being very busy. My luggage was lost for three days and they did whatever they could to locate it which they did. They even checked my flight status prior to leaving. The room itself was a little smaller than your average room in the states, but it was very nice and clean! I had a good view, although I had to really outstretch my neck to see my "canal view". Every morning I heard the church bells ringing which I loved. If you are a big TV watcher, which I am not, I would recommend bringing a DVD player for movies as the TV only gets approvimately three English stations. I would also recommend having an itinerary before you arrive because there booklet they give out of "things to do" is in Italian. There is a great continental breakfast every morning from 0700 to 1030 which allows you to sleep in, yet still be able to eat. This hotel also has internet access which is easily accessible on the main level. Prior to leaving, if you do not want to take a taxi to the airport, the front desk called and arranged that my luggage be picked up and wheeled to the vaporetto stop at St. Mark's Square for $25 vs $100 for the taxi. All in all, I would highly recommend Starsplendid Hotel to anyone especially if location and cleanliness is your top priority! Caio!

The Starhotel Splendid Suisse is situated in an excellent location; between the Rialto Bridge and the San Marco Square. The hotel was convenient, clean and comfortable.
