Dining

La Caravella
La Caravella is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Venice, opened in the early Sixties, when it took over from Ciro's Bar, at the time a very famous venue, even mentioned by Simone de Beauvoir in her books. It was well-known then, as it is today, for its superb cuisine and excellent service, but also for the unique nautical style of its decor, designed by Luigi Orefice to recreate the interior of an ancient sailing ship. In summer the Caravella restaurant moves outdoors to the flower-filled Venetian inner courtyard.

Warm and inviting

I stayed for Carnival and I am so happy I chose this hotel. It was close enough to San Marco Square, the water taxis, and pretty much everything! It was a very comfortable hotel and I loved the full breakfast every morning. They locked the hotel at night with a 24 hour front desk person to open the door for you so I felt very safe at night. The internet service was affordable and easily accessible by either the computers in the hotel or laptop. Hotel staff was helpful with laptop access; they were also able to print emails for me free of charge during my stay.

SATURNIA INTERNATIONAL HOTEL VENICE.

WE ENJOYED THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL WHICH MADE VISITING THE MANY HISTORICAL SITES VERY EASY.THE ROOM WAS VERY SMALL WHICH MADE US VERY UNCOMFORTABLE AT NIGHT. ALSO, THE BED SPRINGS AND MATTRESS WERE TOTALLY INADEQUATE WHICH ALSO CONTRIBUTED TO OUR EVERY MOVEMENT BEING A NOISY ONE. FOR THE MONEY THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST HOTELS WE HAVE EVER STAYED AT.

THE HOTEL RESTAURANT WAS MUCH TOO EXPENSIVE. THERE ARE MANY SMALL BAR RESTAURANTS WITHIN A SHORT WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE HOTEL WHICH WE ENJOYED.

Great Location near St. Mark's Square

Great little hotel about 5 minute walk from St. Mark's Square. Staff did a great job helping with directions on the confusing Venice streets. Helped arrange dinner reservations at a romantic canalside restaurant, and provided a free bottle of champagne for my wife and me celebrating our wedding anniversary.

Great hotel in Venice

The staff was very friendly and helpful. I left a pair of shoes in the room and they promptly mailed them back to my home in California. Also, the location is excellent.

Outstanding location & service; UNIQUE

Excellent in every way; location was ideal, the room was roomy which is unexpected of a European hotel. The staff was great and the Concierge outstanding. Very helpful with local hints and recommendations. Would stay there again! Highly recommended.

Visit Murano! Follow the Concierge's recommendation and go to a factory/showroom that they recommend. It's a sure way to visit "the real thing".

Bon hôtel, sans plus, petit déjeuner bon.

Agréable séjour avec un personnel très aimable, accueillant, mais par rapport à la chambre payée sans plus, plutôt un 3 étoiles au lieu de 4. Excellent emplacement.
