If you're traveling alone, or as a couple, part of a tour group or a group of friends, Hotel San Giuliano offers true hospitality, putting much care in our breakfast, served in a comfortable and distinctive room. Venice is unique, but even Mestre is worth a visit! The San Giuliano park, very close to the hotel and wonderfully facing Venice's lagoon, has recently become popular again for having hosted the international music event, Heineken Jammin' Festival, a concert that featured rock stars such as The Police, Vasco Rossi, the Sex Pistols, and Alanis Morrisette. This green oasis is also part of the course laid out for the spectacular Venice Marathon. Throughout the year, it hosts multiple sporting events and cultural events while serving, thanks to its web of walking paths and bicycle paths, as a relaxing recreational opportunity during your time off to enjoy some fresh air. Its location is very convenient to the main meeting points in Mestre, such as piazza Ferretto and piazza XXVII Ottobre (or Piazza Barche), where you will find shops and the panoramic bistro at Le Barche shopping center. From Hotel San Giuliano, you may also simply and quickly reach the historical city center of Venice: the most convenient way there is by taking the easy bus no. 12 from the stop on viale San Marco (300 feet from the hotel) that, after just a few stops, arrivies at Venice's Piazzale Roma.

Not Bad for Close to Venice

This hotel is close to the bus stop and a ride into Venice is only about 15 minutes, which is great. The WiFi situation was not ideal (you have to pay and then it barely worked and we ended up being charge for far more than we used), but the room was relatively nice (hair dryer not so much) and the staff was friendly. I would recommend it for the value and proximity to public transportation.

excellent customer service

the hotel was nice and in a good lcoation close to the bus to Venice and Mestre. the staff were very very helpful and went the extra mile to help me on a number of occasions with a smile. the owners were very pleasant, accommodating and engaging.

buy a weekend multi trip ticket for the bus and vaporetto - it saves time and the tabak shops are closed on sundays

Nice & clean

We used this as a one night stay, close to our cruise departure. The rooms were small, but clean and for the price, a good bargain. It was on a bus line from the airport, which was only 10 minutes away, and also about a 5 min walk to a bus stop to take a 5 min bus ride to the bus station at Piazza del Roma. It had a great continental breakfast. There was internet available at 5 euros per hour on a computer in the lobby. If you are looking for a room with a view, this is not the place, but if all you need is a quiet stop over on the way to someplace else then this is nice place. The staff was pleasant and spoke English.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

You are just 1.5 kilometers away from Piazza del Roma the gateway to Venizia. You need to take public transportation, bus #12 from the number 4 bus stop on via San Marco. Walking is not an option as the road crosses the bridge from the mainland to the island.
