Tiny room and wardrobe too small, but excellent location and very reasonably priced as a result in this oh-so-expensive but marvellous city. Excellent multilingual staff. Don't be put off by first appearances with two flights of stone stairs.

Short walk from hotel
Once you find this hotel (we came a roundabout route) then find your way to St Mark's Square (signed from everywhere) then you will always be able to get back to the hotel easily.

Good experience
Cute little hotel, really close to piazza s marco. You can't expect the same comfort in Europe that you could expect when paying the same in the US, but compared to the other hotels booked during our trip to italy, this one was ok! If you have to catch an early train, you might want to consider staying closer to the train station...otherwise, staff was great! We had to check out before breakfast time, and they kindly prepared a breakfast box for us.

Exellent location
Nice little hotel in a fantastic location. Room was a bit small but it did not really matter as we were not there that much. Breakfast could be better but we were not left hungry, would go there again.

Great Location
Excellent hotel, once we found it. As we were leaving from Venice on a cruise we were pulling large suitcases with more clothes than we would have usually taken. We knew that the hotel was difficult to find and had to drag luggage up and down the steps of the canal bridges. We managed carrying the suitcases up the full flight of stairs to get to the lobby and then up to the top floor of the hotel to our room (which was lovely), once we checked in, but some people might have problems with all the stairs.

Slightly disappointed
OK hotel, right in center.
The hotel is right next to Piazza San Marco, of course after you finally find it. We were looking for it in the pouring rain and had to ask three time where it was. Just ask for Piazza San Gallo. When we got to the hotel, all soaked, we had to wait an hour and a half for our room to be finished. The front desk guy even told us to come back in 2 hours! We just asked him if we could wait in the lobby. No coffee or anything was offered, very poor service. Then, somebody was knocking on the front door for about 5 minutes and the lady who runs the breakfast (in the same area as the lobby) just ignored it and didn't tell the front desk guy to buzz them in. Out of 4 staff members, we only met 1 friendly one. Besides that, the place is cute and tiny, but they do serve breakfast. Don't be fooled by the factory tour. You will see about 5 minutes of two guys making one part of a chandelier, and then you will be taken through the whole store feeling the pressure to buy one of the factory-made glass products. However, do it just so you can get a free ride to Murano, it's worth it.

Go to the Murano island to do your glass shopping to make sure you're not stuck with the cheap Chinese fakes.

Hotel was really easy to find and staff was extremely helpful. They advertise a free boat ride to Murano every half hour from 10AM to 1PM, but there was never anyone there to take you. Room was small but fine since who really spends too much time in their hotel anyway. Rooms were clean, but we never had any TP and had to go ask for it.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Location
We stayed here for 4 nights. Location was great, just of St Marks Square. Our room was very tiny and the walls were very thin, we had to ask to be moved as we could clearly hear the people talking at the top of their voices in the next room. Internet is very expensive. Breakfast was ok, nothing too exiting.

Good for a quick trip
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, and excellent location just behind St. Mark's Square (though it was tough to find on arrival, a nice person on the street led us to it). Since our stay was so short, we were happy to be in the midst of things. We enjoyed the water taxi ride to the Murano islands and the glass making tour that was included with our room.

Great location and service
I chose this hotel based on the reviews and I after staying there, the reviews were accurate. I loved the decor and the rooms were pretty spacious. It's a pretty basic hotel with a really helpful staff. The only complaint I have is that the internet fees were absolutely outrageous - almost 10 dollars per hour. Most of the hotels I stayed at on this trip offered WiFi for free. But considering it was Venice and everyone is on the take, I suppose it's the norm. The breakfast was just OK.

Long walk from hotel
If you decide to take the Vaporetto, add extra time to get to the train station. It is a very slow ride. Water taxis are outrageously prices and it a long confusing walk .

Hotel was fairly clean and the staff was very helpful. Great location. We got what we paid for -- a decent room at a decent price.
