two day trip to venice
The location was a great price and value, but difficult to get to. It was near the beach. It didn't have great water pressure or air conditioning.

Good Location, lots of noise
The hotel was in a good location. Right near the vaparetto stop to venice and the airport. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The excellent and absolutely huge free breakfast just about made up for the shortcomings. The biggest problem was the noise. Which really wouldn't have been a problem at all if the air conditioning was availabe. We stayed in late May and it was warming up, but not uncomfortably. The airconditioning is only available during main summer months, but to keep the room cool you had to have the shutters all the way open to get a breeze. Not a problem during the day, but at night the buses coming and going and all the street noise was a huge problem. Then Italy won a big soccer match so the locals drove around honking horns and celebrating. Which was fun, until it went on for several hours. Then there was a crazy amount of noise coming from the bar across the street until 2 am. We got virtually no sleep in our 2 day stay, because the buses start around 5 am and make the whole room shake when they drive by. Not exactly the ideal way to end your 2 week trek through Europe. When we complained we were just told the air conditioning wasn't availabe. And if we were able to shut the windows, the noise wouldn't have been an issue at all. The hotel was a good price, and needed some updating and renovation, but everything was pretty clean.

Very nice view of the lagoon...well maintained, 2 minute walk to waterbus or road bus on lido. nice getaway from crowds in venice with just 10 min boat ride to san marco or take 10 min walk past eateries and shops , and supermarket on way to beach. check in was ok but large group came in and got lost in shuffle, had our passports (til later?) for about 3 hours, didn't like that but... Will stay here again! highly recomend to others

A very pleasant surprise in Venice
This is a gem of a hotel that is situated on on a large, long island about 10 minutes by the Venice Ferry system to St. Marks Square. A nice Adriatic Beach is a 10 minute walk, and the Hotel has (free for guests) reserved spots in the Private (though still busy) beach. The hotel is 50 meters from the very frequent boat service that serves as the main public transportation of the area. We enjoyed a day at the beach as well as a several days of sightseeing.

The Hotel is located at the Boat Stop "Lido". The Italian trains can take you to the train station on the main island (Venice S.N.M.) where there is a connection point for the public boats (Vaporetto). A single ticket costs 6.50 Euro. It's best to buy a one two or three day ticket right from the start. You'll save money.

Sceptics! Pleasantly surprized!
We acted like tourist in Venice and Lido. We took the ferries, walked and rented bicycles. We wish we had been able to take day trips to other places in Italy while we were in the area but that is for the next time. This hotel was very good because of the location. The only distraction from a good time was the lack of truly complimentary services, i.e. breakfast and Internet. We needed to stay connected but couldn't and much to our surprize we received additional charges for the complimentary breakfast services.

was a great choice
We selected the hotel from the reviews and they were all right on. It was comfortable and right across from the water bus. Very convienent. Nice breakfast and the rooms were very clean. Took only minutes to get away from the hustle and bustle of Venice and was much more reasonalbly priced. Loved it and would stay again.

Good Location for the price
Friendly front desk people. Breakfast was good with variety of food choice. Travel was easy to follow and hotel is just across the street from ferry landing. Restaurant choices were good in the area. Would stay @ this location again.

Great Hotel
The hotel was very clean, staff were quite helpful and close to the station, not too far to St Marks Sq. Local super market nearby. Great view I will definitetly use it again. I read the past reviews and decided to use it - no regrets Internet facility needs to be improved.
