This is a new hotel located along the longest street of Venice, the Strada Nova. Still in the centre of Venice, this is typically one of the most colourful and lively areas with many shops and markets, which show true Venetian life. (03/08 CQ) This is a typical Venetian style building overlooking a small canal and the Strada Nova, the largest street in Venice. Located in Cannaregio, the hotel is just 10 minutes' walking distance from the train station and very close to the charming Casino of Venice. The closest boat stop is called S. Marcuola, from which it is 7 minutes traveling time to Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes to San Marco Square.

Good..but

We arrived very late for a one night stay. We wanted a cup of hot water and nearly an hour later we received a phone call to say it was ready; they had to turn a machine on as they did not have a kettle to boil water. The room was cold and we could not get it warm. The shower had no curtain (very European) so the whole bathroom was awash with water after a shower. Breakfast was excellent. If you have to leave your bags during the day be aware that they are left in the breakfast room without supervision. They charge for Internet.

This hotel is fine for a few nights

This hotel is fine for a few nights in Venice. It's clean and comfortable with complimentary breakfast. The wi-fi costs money, but it's much less than in the internet cafes. The room we were in was small, but they have larger ones i'm sure you can request. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station (over two bridges), and about the same to the rialto bridge-add another ten for St. Mark's square. If you're hauling bags from the train station, being in this location instead of all the way down by St. Mark's is nice since going over the bridges can be tricky. This hotel worked well for us, but note that three stars in europe is not the same as three stars in america. No extras like fitness or swimming, and the TVs and bathrooms are typically very small, and bedding isn't as nice. Overall, it was a fine place to stay but nothing special (though our room did look out on the water).

Good position (10 minutes by walk

Good position (10 minutes by walk from the train station). Small room and clean but not in very good condition (price to high for the service offered). The hotel infact was closing the week after our departure to make some renovation. Breakfast with marmelade, bread, tea coffe, orange juice, chocolate, hot croissant, fruit tart etc.. Very copious. Our room was very quite even if the hotel is on a noisy road.

Ok and good located. We stayed in posibly the smallest room we´d ever seen, but with a really nice view. Very hard to find this hotel if You don´t have a proper map.

Good location and price. Easy

Good location and price. Easy to get to everywhere in Venice from here. The hotel is a bit run down and in need of a coat of paint but I guess if that happened it would cost a lot more! I would stay there again and would recommend it to those who simply want a clean, cheap place to crash after a days sightseeing.

A reasonable, small hotel about

A reasonable, small hotel about 20 minutes walk from the Plazza Roma and close to a Waterbus stop. Price was reasonable for Venice and located in a busy area with lots of restaurants and shops, near the Casino. The room was on the small size, but comfortable and had all that was necessary. No English language channel on the TV, but didn't have much time for watching the TV! Service is typically Italian - not very friendly and welcoming, but they got the job done and spoke English fairly well.

Enjoyed our stay, great location,

Enjoyed our stay, great location, great rooms albeit very small. However the staff all need a break from the tourist trade, as they are all very off handed and on the point of being very rude. It was an effort for them to even answer or look at you. Would I stay there again though- YES !
