We had a number of issues... 1) we booked for swim pool due to arthritis. Many had booked as they had kids, to also use pool. The hotel however had rented it out all day for a private party. They closed it another day after a rain shower and even though it was not raining any more failed to re-open it as it would have meant mopping the edge of the pool. Pool when it does open has consistency of warm syrup (you cant for example see the bottom so hate to think whats in it). 2) Breakfast at 15euros was average at best and better croissants for 1 euro 100m away on the water front on way to vaporetta 3) courtesy boat to San Marco full and could not get on so best to ignore 4) Room not cleaned one day at all 5) Room was huge and bed lovely and big but only one bedside lamp - presumably only one of you allowed to read This is probably a good hotel if you get it on a deal (we paid full price) but if not, then one to ignore in our opinion as many are better placed location wise and simply better. We stayed in another round corner from San Marco at same sort of price and there was simply no comparison. The general manager is super however, but his hands seemed tied by his superiors and pbt on things like pool opening. He seems to be able to sort things out that no-one else can. So OK hotel but not worth the (full ) price. Wifi was down as well and even though full price was high, then additonal fee for room wifi (which then did not work). Restaurants above ave price and had a great salad on roof top average meal in the poshest restaurant. Would skip everything other than roof top which has a great view in the evening.

Three stars hotel not 5 star

Would not recommend Mon, Jan 5, 2015
I booked junior suit for 7 nights, but they gave me family room as upgrade , because they haven't got junior suit , I didn't like it, I asked for city view, they asked for 200 euro extra per night, I agreed to pay extra 200 euro but they change their mind and the manager said we can't do upgrade because they will sell it for about 500 euro per night because of the new year firework, The room ; slow drainage in the shower, they don't chane the bedding sheets every day then I asked the manager then he said they change the sheets every 4 days, The shuttle service ; there is always long waiting for the boat to cross, and at evening the average waitng time for the boat to cross is 45-60 minutes in freezing weather , No swimming pool although it was winter but there was no access to top floor swimming area to see the view, Most of the staff are not helpful and not welcoming ,

Ideal hotel, especially in Venice, but away from the crowds

Would recommend Fri, Nov 21, 2014
Wonderful hotel, well worthy of the Hilton brand, with good facilities. My only reservation was regarding the attitude of the manager, Erika, (via email), following a problem we had. Her attitude left much to be desired, but fortunately, the slack was picked up by the Hilton Head office here in the UK, and all was settled. You cannot go wrong with this hotel, if you like cleanliness and good service. It is also located on a separate island, away from the hustle bustle of Venice island. A free shuttle from the hotel to Venice island and back of course, is available, no booking required. Highly recommended.

Dining

A place called La Foca, making the most marvellous tasting, reasonably priced pizzas, fresh on the premises. The lady making them is a real ray of sunshine, singing as she cooks.

Expensive but worth it!

Would recommend Tue, Sep 2, 2014
Great rooms, great location, free shuttle, great roof top pool and bar and restaurants. Several other restaurants to choose from with excellent quality food and service. Is this place expensive? Yes. But you can do Venice in 2 days. My wife was 6months pregnant and she was comfy here and the free shuttle boat to and from st marks square was a life saver. I would recommend this to a friend and definitely stay here again as a splurge

Time saver

Spend the 110euros on a water taxi from the airport to the hotel for up to 4 people. It's 30mins and you get great view of Venice. You can take a water bus but that takes 1.5hrs and it costs 16 euros a head, not my favourite thing after a long flight and you just want to get there. The water taxi in good weather is a real treat. Splurge on this.

Good and mediocre

Would recommend Fri, Jul 25, 2014
It was very nice, but for an expensive hotel it was just average. It is a bit out of the way but they have a water taxi which you must use to get to most places you want to go including most restaurants (but does NOT go to the train station or airport - you pay for that). Oddly, you have to walk 500 yards for an ATM machine, You pay extra for things unless you are a high level honors (that's irritating). Breakfast is costly if you are not in the favored group. The staff was very nice and helpful especially Yesirah. It did have king beds which many hotels do not. Location was great for the Redentore Festival which was a blast.

Attractions

St Mark's cathedral and square and the Doge's palace are great as is the experience of wandering through the tiny streets. Take a gondola ride. Best food is in walk-up stands. Sit-down is a rip-off.

This Hotel Improved Our Venice Experience

Would recommend Sat, Sep 28, 2013
In Venice, it's hard to beat the hotel experience that this Hilton property gives, especially if you're lucky enough to get a room right on the canal! The hotel is clean and well appointed, truly a wonderful place to return to after a day of touring Venice. The complimentary shuttle boat is very convenient, the rooftop swimming pool area is a perfect place to relax during the day -- and at night, the rooftop lounge offers stunning views of the main island of Venice sparkling across the canal.

Dining

Restaurant: Cacciatore. (The front desk will direct you.) Turn right out of the main entrance, go over 3 bridges and you'll find this restaurant. Cozy ambience, food quite good.

Nice enough, but nothing special

Would recommend Mon, Jun 10, 2013
We stayed in a king hilton deluxe room at Hilton Molino Stucky Venice and enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean, our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We were disappointed about the lack of things hotels normally leave (like toothbrush/toothpaste/slippers/bath gowns etc) as it was all very basic. The swimming pool on the roof was probably the best part of the hotel. The bar was quite nice, friendly service, drinks were very nicely made and we were given great care by the bar man to make sure our drinks were exactly how we liked them. There is a shuttle water bus from the hotel to the main venice island. It takes about 5-10 minutes, so I don't see it being a problem as long as you organise yourself. If you're not so good at organising your time, you could be waiting 20 minutes for a bus to get from the hotel. Restaurants on the hotel's island are pretty decent. I would recommend exploring the island for an evening meal.

Dining

There is a lovely restaurant a short distance from the hotel (second restaurant you come across) it's not cheap, not expencive, services isn't great, but the food is delicious and the wine equally good.
