I thought the hotel was fairly priced, rooms were spacious and very clean. The beds are very hard, so if you like a firm mattress... Right outside the hotel, you can catch a bus straight to Piazza Roma in Venice.

Cruise stop over
We only stayed 1 night, as a stop over after our cruise. The staff was very friendly but didn't speak a lot of english. The Delphino, by American standards is, at best, mediocre; adequate but nothing special. It has the noisest plumbing of any hotel I have ever stayed at

I will first mention the good
I will first mention the good points- the bus to Venice stops right in front of the hotel, and you can be in Venice in 10 minutes. The tickets can be purchased at the hotel reception. Staff were reasonably friendly. The facilities in the room are ok, good for the price you pay. Now the downside- breakfast very average- the bread did not look fresh,and the toaster was broken. If your lunch and tea are not included, don't bother going to the restaurant which is very pricey for mediocre food- just go into Venice and have some nice food. Overall, it is not a bad hotel to stay for a night or two, and certainly a lot cheaper than many hotels in Venice old city- so good value for money, but if you want a true Venicean experience don't stay at Mestre

Perfect choice...
This hotel was a great choice during my trip to Europe. I was concerned about staying outside Venice, but it was the right choice. Starting with the hotel, it was a great 4 start hotel, with a very spacious room and a wonderful clean bathroom. The staff was amazingly helpful and everything was just right from the beggining. Breakfast was very good and wireless was available.The location could not have been better; there was a bus across the street that would take us back and forth to Venice in less than 10 minutes. There was the best gelatos place next door and a Supermarket in case you need to purchase any italian goods.

Family traveling in Europe
Good staff, great location!
The location was great because it was across the street from where we had to catch the bus to Venice. The staff was also great but our bed was very uncomfortable--it was supposed to be a queen sized bed which it was but it wasn't a bed--it was a pull out couch and couldn't have been harder. The two twin beds in the room were fine.

Quick and easy way to see Venice
A quick 10 minute bus ride to and from airport or port made this (outside of Venice) and ideal place to stay. Venice was very crowed even in the off season.

Short drive from hotel
Having the bus stop across the street from the hotel AND the big super market next door was a huge plus. Not much else to do at the hotel..no patio, no lobby to speak of and only CNN for TV (in English), made it less attractive. For the price is was well worth the stay.

Great hotel!
We had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and the location is perfect. There is even a supermarket right next to the hotel. The full and free breakfast tops it all off. The staff speaks good english if there is a need.

A very decent hotel, not really
A very decent hotel, not really 4 star, but clean and comfortable, especially at the very good rate offered (obviously out of season). Very handy for Venice: the bus stop is literally across the road and the bus ride about 10-15 minutes to the station at Piazzale Roma, Venice. Would definitely use it again at the price offered.
