A tax has been imposed by the city for stays beginning 1 October 2012, and will be collected directly at the property. The tax ranges from EUR 1 to EUR 5 per person, per night. The amount has been determined by the local administration, depends on the star rating of hotel and the season of travel. This tax does not apply from the 6th consecutive night of stay onwards, to residents of Venice City and children under 10 years of age. Please note that further exemptions may apply. Central Location
The Continental Hotel in Venice is centrally located to the train station, cafes, markets, and shops. It was just a short Vaporetto ride to St. Mark's square. I stayed with my 2 sons in the hotel and we had a triple room (3 separate beds) which worked for us. It overlooked a nice courtyard. We had help getting our luggage to our room which made all the difference because of the different corridors and floors. The staff were pleasant especially the breakfast staff who were very attentive. This was a good value for us and we were there on a summer festival night. It was pretty quiet in our room as we were at the end of a corridor. Overall, I would definitely choose this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Long walk from hotel
My children and I had the energy to walk all around Venice from the hotel and could browse many of the shops and cafes locally.

Unbewohnbares Zimmer Nr. 140
Hotel gewählt, weil in Gehdistanz zum Bahnhof Zimmer sehr unterschiedlich. 1. Zimmer (Nr.140) klein und mit ohrenbetäubendem Lärm wenn Nachbar duschte. Das einzige Fenster ging auf einen Abfallhof und musste dauernd mit dem Vorhang abgedeckt werden , weil sonst vom Nachbargebäude mit Baugerüst Einsicht bestand. Somit kein Tageslicht.!!! Nach Reklamation am Folgetag neues, gutes Zimmer mit Aussicht auf Kanal. Nach Aussage des Portiers gibt es neben Nr. 140 noch ein weiteres Zimmer mit den gleichen, bekannten Mängeln, deren Behebung jedoch zu teuer wäre, es gibt ja immer wieder neue Gäste!!!!!!!!!

lors du premier jour, on nous a mis dans une chambre minable: le sol était crade, les murs très fins, peu d'équipement dans la chambre...à 100€ la nuit ça fait cher...On a dû râler et on a obtenu une chambre meilleure...

電車でベネチア入りし、荷物を持って水上バスに乗りたくない人にはとても便利な立地です。ホテル前の道も深夜まで人通りが多く、明るいです。身を乗り出すと窓から運河も見えて、気持ちも良かったです。部屋も広く、水周りも清潔でした。チェックアウトした後はフロントのセイフティーボックスは貴重品を預からない（バゲッジはＯＫ）のが、ちょっと残念でした。朝ごはんは、テラスに席があれば、ラッシュの大運河の様子が見られて楽しいです。

ここは駅から近いので荷物の移動もバポレットを使わなくていいので助かります。スタッフも親切でした(トランクのコマが二個はずれたのを直してくれた。すごく助かりました)
