- Restaurant
- The restaurant is an additional source of pride for Hotel Continental. Charming, open until late at night, it is located in a very pleasant room inspired by the elegant and refined 18th century Venetian style and has a splendid view of Canal Grande. The "a la carte" menu proposes typical Venetian cuisine specialties, skillfully and creatively interpreted by the chef, who also offers the best international cuisine dishes, to satisfy the tastes of the hotel's increasingly cosmopolitan guests. The most prestigious Venetian, Italian and international wines from a well-stocked cellar accompany the delicious food. The terrace is very romantic for truly special dinners by candlelight. Room service is available for guests who request it.

I always knew that Venice will
I always knew that Venice will be difficult in a wheelchair. The hotl is not wheelchair firendly as there are 2 steps into the hotel, 2 further down to the lift and then 2 up to the lifts again. The porter was very keen to assist but he was not always available. The biggest problem is the lift. The lift is very small and my wheelchair fitted just through the door. I use a very narrow chair and I had to pull myself through into the lift. I had to change the room as I could not get into th bathroom as the door is to small. The room (No 264) was wheelchair friendly and the bathroom was large.

Great location& breakfast
We loved being able to turn in our car and walk to the hotel and later to the train station. The on and off boats were wonderful and so near the hotel. The flower arrangements in the hotel were fantastic!

Feel the real Venice
Great location. One block from the train station and 100 yards from the water bus stop. The hotel was compfortable and had an elegant feel. Our room was on the Grand Canal and my daughter just loved opening the shutters and looking over the water and watching the traffic go by. The bath was very modern. It and the room were large by European standards. The staff was pleasant and helpful with directions and train times. The breakfast was expansive and served on the canal side of the hotel. Shopping was all around and it was a nice 40 minute walk to San Marco plazza. Everything is within walking distance.

Amazing
WE arrived for one night and were given a room overlooking the Grand Canal by three windows. Just beautiful. Great location. Very good breakfast served in a cafe on the water.

Good location -terrible beds & noisy
This hotel is an easy walk from Piazzele Roma. But- the hotel is very noisy with the traffic on the grand canal, door banging all night and people talking loudly at 4 a.m. The staff were not pleasant and seemed to be annoyed if you asked a question. The beds were terrible-bouncy, sagging in the middle & you could feel springs through the mattress. If you want a good night's sleep avoid this hotel.

Central Location
The Continental Hotel in Venice is centrally located to the train station, cafes, markets, and shops. It was just a short Vaporetto ride to St. Mark's square. I stayed with my 2 sons in the hotel and we had a triple room (3 separate beds) which worked for us. It overlooked a nice courtyard. We had help getting our luggage to our room which made all the difference because of the different corridors and floors. The staff were pleasant especially the breakfast staff who were very attentive. This was a good value for us and we were there on a summer festival night. It was pretty quiet in our room as we were at the end of a corridor. Overall, I would definitely choose this hotel again and would recommend it to others.

Long walk from hotel
My children and I had the energy to walk all around Venice from the hotel and could browse many of the shops and cafes locally.
