This hotel was at a good location short walk from San Marco square. Staff was on the whole extremely helpful. The room was clean but tight on space.

First time in Venice
Venice was the last stop on a trip to France and Italy with my teenage daughters. The room was nicely appointed but a bit tight. Having our own private rooftop terrace made up for lack of space, but we didn't have a view. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, breakfast (included) was adequate but nothing to rave about. The location was questionable - it was almost the last stop on the #1 ferry - close to the park housing the Venice Binnaele but a long walk from the center Venice. A good hotel if you are looking for a quiet time away from the action.

If going for a gondola ride, shop around. They all charge the same (80 euro's for 35 min) but they are not all the same! Some guys have learned different languages and will give a better tour.Our gondolier's name was Marco, and he spoke 5 languages fluently. He comes from a long line of gondoliers and knew everyone as we traveled along. Marco gave us a great tour and pointed out architectural elements, history, etc. He was very charming and it was quite possible that his claim to be related to Cassanova really was true!

Great hotel and excellent location
CaFormenta is well located close to the vaporetto stop. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is excellent. I will not hesitate to stay there again.

Beyza - Gelato Addict
Wonderful Stay in Venice
This is a great little hotel. The location is very convenient - we saved a bundle by taking the water bus from the airport instead of a water taxi, and then it was just an easy walk from the Arsenale stop to the hotel. It was also nice that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Venice; it's outside the crazy hustle and bustle of San Marco, but still totally close enough to easily walk to all the main sites. Our room was an economy room on the first floor, so it was a little noisy in the morning because it was right next to the breakfast area, but no big deal since we wanted to be out and about early anyway. If you're a light sleeper, I'd suggest booking a room on one of the upper floors. The breakfast was fine, nothing fancy, but it was more than enough to fill our bellies and get on with our day. The staff at the hotel were wonderful - super friendly and very helpful. All in all, we loved this hotel and hope we'll get to visit Venice again some day!

Very well situated for the centre of Venice but quiet and with a great view of the water in front of the hotel.Excellent clean and tidy compact rooms.Friendly and very helpful staff.I would most definately use this hotel again.

Restaurants can be expensive,the average price for an ordinary meal for 2 is 50 euro's,clothes shops very expensive buy from the many street traders they offer good quality gifts much cheaper than shops.Supermarkets are similarly priced to U.K.

Angenehmes Hotel an toller Lage
Zum dritten Mal innerhalb einiger Jahre haben wir dieses Hotel ausgewählt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und mehrsprachig. Die Zimmer sind sauber und bieten auch genügend Platz, leider war die Matratze dieses Mal sehr hart. Uns gefällt die tolle Lage an der Via Garibaldi. Das Haus liegt am Wasser und den Rummel der Tagestouristen merkt man kaum. In wenigen Minuten ist man zu Fuss am Markusplatz. Abends ist man unter vielen Einheimischen. Die Vaporettoanlagestelle ist auch sehr nah. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder wählen.

Un emplacement et un hotel parfait
Emplacement à quelques centaines de mètres de la place San Marco. Un hôtel très propre et un personnel très agréable, disponible, souriant et parlant français. Situé dans un très joli quartier face à la mer. Calme et détente assurée. Bref, j'ai bien apprécié cet hôtel et j'y ai passé un très bon séjour. A conseiller.

Attention les tarifs des restaurants ne comprennent pas toujours le service et le couvert. Cela peut faire grimper la note de 10 euros pour deux personnes! A préférer les sandwichs qui demeurent bons par rapport aux restaurants chers et très médiocres et dont le personnel frôle l'incorrection et le manque de sens du commerce. On se rend compte que nous sommes dans une ville des plus touristiques et les commerçants ne sont vraiment pas accueillants à Venise!

Très bonne situation !
Accueil agréable et très attentionné. Personnel à disposition et très serviable. Situation de l'hôtel très agréable, dans une rue calme, à moins de 8 minutes à pied de la place Saint-Marc. Deux stations de Vaporetto à proximité (ARSENALE et GIARDINI), bien desservies. Seul bémol : Lit un peu dur.

Pizzeria - Trattoria dai Tosi (Castello 736, seco Marina Lu-ma 12h-14h jeu-dim 12h-14h et 19h à 21h30). Pizzeria le soir à des prix imbattables et bons plats du jour.

bon plan
Bon hôtel situé juste après la place Saint Marc (environ 5 minutes à pied), avec une "station" de vaporetto à 1 minute. Au calme, avec un personnel toujours disponible.
