Famous terrace at Venice luxury hotel offers stunning views of city
The Bonvecchiati Hotel Venice has hosted Venice guests since 1790 and is famous for its hospitality and its stunning terrace. Centrally located in Venice's historic district, this 4-star hotel is a short walk from St. Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge, Fenice Theater and many other famous attractions. With its own water landing, the hotel is easy to reach via water taxi or gondola. Great location
Great location!! right by St. Mark,s square and a short walk to the grand canal for great restuarants. also easy access from water taxi even with huge suitcases. have to pay for internet but friendly staff.

A few tips
The hotel was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The rooms were small, two people cannot move around at the same time. As is often the case in Italy, but not what is expected of a 4* hotel, is lack of tea and coffee facilities together with very poor television or radio. This somewhat took the edge off our holiday. Would like to see more tourist information in the rooms too! The hotel is situated very close to St Marks Square and ideal for exploring. If you like a soft mattress or pillow - take your own!

There's a little pub where they serve tasty lunches at a reasonable price. Can't remember the name - sorry.But head toward the Grand Canal and then right.

Perfect!
Our dream trip to Venice couldn't have been any better. Cool weather, no crowds to speak of and a fabulous location at the Bonvecchiati Hotel made this a real dream. The hotel is very clean, staff was exceptionally helpful and the included breakfasts were the perfect way to start full days of site-seeing. The room was a bit small compared to US standards, but it was Venice and exactly what we expected. The bed was very comfortable and the shower great. No complaints. Should we get back to Venice we would definitely stay here again.

We took a very reputable guide book, updated yearly, with us that featured many stops and tours that were self-guided. A must have for travel in Venice!

fantastic location
great location : can walk every where getting lost is part of venice. breakfast was good. please take your own wash cloth. would definitely stay there again and would recommend to anyone.

please do not eat by st marks square..great resturants in the inner streets and affordable.. great cocktails at hard rock cafe two steps away from hotel..gift are cheaper on the other side of the river

Excellent Value.Lovely rooms.Great location.Great breakfast.Extremely helpful and friendly staff.I have stayed in Venice before but when I go again this is where I will stay providing i can get a decent rate.A few minutes from San Marco,alongside a small but quite busy canal.You can have breakfast watching the boats delivering supplies to the hotels and shops.

Excellant hôtel au centre de Venise, parfait pour un voyage en amoureux. La chambre dans la résidence avec vue sur le canal était vraiment bien. Pas testé le restaurent de l’hôtel car vraiment cher par rapport au super petit restaurent de la ville.

La chambre pour deux était vraiment
La chambre pour deux était vraiment minuscule (est-ce le fait d'avoir réservé par [website]qui nous a valu ça ?) et la seule chaîne étrangère de la télévision semblait être France24... curieux pour une ville cosmopolite. A part cela, rien à dire : personnel très aimable, buffet du petit-déjeuner très correct, et emplacement de l'hôtel idéal, entre le Rialto et la place Saint-Marc, dans un endroit calme.
