Venice hotel offers all the charm of a large hotel in a small package
The Bella Venezia Hotel Venice is in a 16th-century Venice palace that was beautifully restored and renovated in 2006. The hotel maintains classic Venetian splendor while providing many contemporary comforts. This 4-star hotel is centrally located in historic Venice, a short walk from the Rialto Bridge and St. Mark's Square. The hotel's restaurant, common areas and rooms are elegantly decorated with Venetian furnishings. Some rooms have excellent views of canals, rooftops and St. Mark's bell tower.

Wish I were staying a main building....

Hotel web only shows a main building, ths is why I was shocked when I entered the room. Our room was so tiny, besides it had bugs in the air & inside blankets. My son got bitten a lot, so I claimed hotel, but the front desk said that nothing hotel could do. And the breakfast room, it was nothing like a restaurant, but it was just a room. Even meal was very good, I did not feel comfortable, because between the tables were so narrow. And no views from the window, which was only one window there....So I wish I could see the room where I stayed on the web.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

It was close to San Marco Piazza and Rialto Water Bus Station and was a good location. But if you arrive there at night like I did, it is not easy to find the hotel. Especially the building I stayed, which was annex one, doesnt show on the map, besides no names at the building.

Needs Bathroom Maintenance

Shower door did not shut properly. Shower head did not stay in place. Reception staff were indifferent but breakfast staff were friendly. Overall, clean hotel at a nice location but needs an extra touch to be Good Stuff.

Highly Recommended

The hotel is a two minute walk from Rialto vaparetto stop - so no need to lug luggage up and down the many steps of Venice. Check-in was easy and the receptionist friendly and efficient. We were in the annexe, a short walk from the main hotel. Rooms were comfortable and basic but well appointed. Shower cubicles on the small side and not designed for substantial people. Daily cleaning of a high standard. The location can be noisy but no more than the heart of any city. The breakfast buffet was superb, catering for all European tastes from the sweet toothed Italian to the fat fuelled British. The breakfast supervisor was attentive and helpful. I will stay here again and have already recommended the Bella Venezia to friends.

Pieni, siisti

Etukäteen katsotut kuvat antoivat käsityksen tilavammassa huoneesta. Huone oli siisti, lämmin. Koska huone oli ensimmäisessä kerroksessa kuuluivat äänet kadulta melkoisen selvästi. Jostakin syystä aamusta jo neljän jälkeen alkoi kuulumaan remonttiääniä lähialueilta. Aamupala oli hyvä. Henkilökunta ystävällistä

Gutes Mittelklassehotel

Der Empfang war freudlich aber sachlich kühl. Die Unterbrigung in der Dependance ist nicht empfehlenswert. Die Zimmer sind wirklich sehr eng und die Dusche für ausgewachsene Mittel- europäer nicht ausreichend. Die Sauberkeit war o.k. nur hätte man täglich neue Seife etc. erwartet. Die Preisliste für die Minibar fehlte zuerst, die Preise sind gepfeffert! Das Früstüch war wirklich sehr gut und das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Ideale Lage zwischen Rialto und San Marco. Insgesamt o.k. aber wir hatten merr erwartet. Im Hauothasu ist es deutlich komportabler aber sicher auch teurer.
